So it's sounding like this will be the first direct sequel in the series, more AV3 2 than AV4 in the sense of the other games. That's interesting. I hope it's not too closely tied to AV3, because I think that, while it's probably the best in the series, it also has a pretty weak story past LoT and GoN. I'm excited to see Uma and Nox, though.

I'm really not too keen on meeting Uma and Nox again so seen (was turned off by fansqueeing), but hey. I'm sure it'll be fine and dandy when it comes out.

I think we might see a different side to them this time - rather than being mysterious and "are they helping or harming?"

On a completely new part of Aia and with a new lead (which I'm assuming the boy, who I'm also assuming is in the orphanage, will be) I doubt there'll be much reference to AV3. So I'm not expecting it to be a sequel as much as a brand new game.

more Uma and Nox? I think Nox is going to get in a lot of trouble while Uma tries to keep track of her lol.

@shaz: Well, I guess it really depends how big and what kind of part the twins get. We don't really have any info, and from the brief blurb we got it and then the way the discussion leaned subsequently, I guess that's just the idea that I got. I'll admit, the official information we do have does not suggest too strong a connection, except that we haven't gotten characters from a previous game as what seem to be the driving protagonists before now.

Just remember that ONLY what comes from Amanda is fact. Everything else is speculation, which you should take with a grain of salt - including anything from me at the moment, until I've seen a game outline.

When do you normally get to see the outline?

It depends on how much Amanda has on her plate, how long it takes her to to get it all written down, and how active I will be in the project. I don't expect to see anything for a couple of months.

Yay, more Uma and Nox! FINALLY an AV sequel that doesn't follow the "it's a century or two later so that means everyone in the last game is dead except the vampires" format.

I hope we get to see a lot of the characters from the last game (including Te'ijal and Galahad, of course).

I believe so. I can imagine Nox throwing books at Uma and the priestess while Uma is trying to re-shelve them.

Hmm. Will we get to see Mel and her husband? We usually don't get to see the previous games' hero(ine) and his/her husband/wife.

I do have a question. How young is "young"?
I mean, how old are Uma and Nox? Because I seriously don't want to see a baby Uma and a baby Nox as the main characters...

I doubt we'd see "babies" or even children as main characters. I'm guessing early teens would be the youngest. IF they are main characters.

@shaz: I dunno, I think that Uma and Nox as children (above eight, that is) could really work. I'm expecting teenagers as well, but I wouldn't be disappointed if they were a bit younger.
