There were 41 entries in all, and I had a really hard time choosing. I've narrowed it down to a list of 5. I will announce the winners in the next 24 hours or so.

Some people have asked that their entries NOT be posted here, and as there were so many (and some were quite long), I will not post any. For those of you who entered and do not win, if you DO want your entry posted, you can go ahead and post it here yourself, AFTER I have announced the winners.

I'll probably post a couple of mine (yes, yes, I was Little Miss Overachiever... ). It will be interesting to see what people came up with, and I wonder if there will be any/many similar quests.

Not set in stone, but it will probably be the same price that we charge for the Aveyond games. There may or may not be a separate guide, and there may or may not be a game/guide bundle for a slightly higher price.

Very, Very Cool! Awesome, Thank You! I had fun getting that together and even more awesome I had a few possible endings to the side quest so even when the game comes out I'll be surprised and rushing through.

I had a second entry which I basically phoned in. "Lost kitten needs a home." That was about all the detail I went into. I have two rescue cats at home, I needed to add that one.

I'm always excited to play the games on this site. Happy Tenth Anniversary!

I should note, some of these I will have to change a little, to fit in with the people and areas in the game. So they might not go exactly the way you've described in your submission

I'm so happy and excited about having one of my side quests in the game, it's a little ridiculous!

Anyway... I thought I'd go ahead and share a couple of my other entries.

So, here's the "Weapon Left at Home" side quest:

One of the soldiers (from Merivale) has accidentally left his sword at home. This quest can be activated by talking either to the soldier or his wife (Soldier: "Drat! I've left my sword at home! Can you deliver this letter to my wife, asking that she send it?" Wife: "My husband is so forgetful! Can you please take this sword and deliver it to him?").

Sequence:
1) Learn of the missing sword, either from the soldier or his wife.

2) Retrieve the sword from the wife.

3) Deliver the sword to the soldier. He will give you a letter to give to his wife.

Extra side quest: After you receive this letter, talk to the guy in charge of the mail. When he learns where you're going, he asks you to make his deliveries for him- he's got a bundle of letters from homesick soldiers. Reward: money. 10-20g/letter? Paid upon delivery.

Back to the main side quest!

4)Deliver the letter to the wife. Receive awesome bow, or some other weapon- not a sword- that someone in the party can use. (Wife: "Here, take my grandfather's bow for your help. My husband, as a swordsman, can't use it, but perhaps you can.")

And here's the "Dragon Treasure" side quest:

There's one quest for each city, and some are more awesome than others... Part of that is probably due to the fact that I was more focused on the awesome rewards I'd come up with than making an awesome journey to get those rewards...

Merivale:
Sherwin tells you about a treasure he read of in an old book. It included a map; the treasure should be in one of the neighbor's fields. Talk to the neighbor. He agrees to let you look for it if you pick the crops in his field first. Each plant- perhaps five of them?- is a 'monster,' so five battles to get the treasure, which is buried. The reward is an item; I called it the 'Farmer's Goblet,' just to have something to call it... It can be sold- 500g?- but when it's in your inventory, the dragon gets more hp/mp from food/potions.

Pittleton:
There's a thief with a treasure map. Get it from him (buy, steal, do a job, etc). The map leads to a cave where a (self-sufficient) hermit lives. He has the treasure (I called it the Trader's Gem), but he doesn't need money, so he won't take it. The only thing he'll take for it is a book- he's bored. Give him a book (bought in town? Reward from a different quest? Grudgingly handed over by Sherwin?) and he'll give you the item. Reward: Trader's Gem. It can be sold- 1,000g?- but if it's in your inventory, either your items sell for 10% more or purchased items cost 10% less.

Mayfield:
One of the castle guards promises you a treasure chest if you run errands for him. I didn't come up with all of them, but there should be LOTS of running back and forth- delivering messages, buying items, etc. After... oh, somewhere between five and ten of these errands, he finally says you've earned your reward. You open the chest, only to find that it's almost empty! You receive 50-100g and one of the cheapest gems. However, the chest itself has a hidden ability. When the party has more than a set amount of gold (2000? 5000?), it boosts your dragon's attack power.

Dunken:
Defeat the town's Champion, who is the guardian of this town's treasure- the Midas Glove. It can be used by the dragon once per battle to turn one enemy into gold.
