Interesting! I'd love to join but I'd probably have to opt out every now and then due to a lack of interest/time/money.
I like many of the suggestions given (with the exception of Philip Pullman and Christopher Paolini, but I'll save that rant for another time), with some of them I've already read and enjoyed and some of them being books I've wanted to read. My own suggestions I'd like to throw in: - "The Wind on Fire" trilogy or "The Noble Warriors" trilogy by William Nicholson (12+) - "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel (not really fantasy, either, but a really good story...and it gets fantasy-ish closer to the end) (13+) - "Crown Duel" by Sherwood Smith (10+) - And more of a challenge than anything else: "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami (18+) I could probably come up with more but my book collection isn't here with me so I can't remember them all >_<

you'll have to send me that rant about Paolini, Aet. Rants interest me. As for money... do you have a good public library around you? And, did you know that with a lot of books, you can buy them online and read them on your computer for as little as 2.99?

Do you have a link for buying the online books Marian?

Haha, I'll have to rant to you later, then, Marian XD
And I'm also curious about these online books but then again, I think I prefer reading actual books. I can't sit at a computer long enough to read something like a novel. Even manga can't keep me sitting still at a computer for much longer than a few chapters ^^ As for a good public library, that's a good question >_> Let's just say things in my city can be rather inaccessible if you don't have a car (which I don't). I think there's a library sort of close by but I've never actually checked it out myself (since it's on my way to work and I never stopped before...) It's the only library I've seen in the city so far, though ^^;

Ah... well, most libraries now have a website on which you can check to see what books they have and if they're in... et cetera. True, it is more enjoyable and much easier to read a book that's tangible... but if you're desperate(which I have been twice) then it's a good route to go.
Also, if it's a book you think you'd want to make notes on(like for school or a book club), the fact that it's on a computer makes note taking really easy because you can highlight and make notes ON the actual paper. ^.^ It's amazing. Bout 3 books for 10 dollars the other day.

I buy most of my books via Amazon or Ebay or Half.com. I actually just bought a pack of four books on ebay for my mom and with shipping and everything it was still under five dollars.

That is what I planned to do, but I don't mind reading on my laptop. If the books are available that way, I'd like to know where to get them.

About Crank/Glass/etc.: it's worth noting that these books are written in verse (in poems)... Sonya Sones seems like a good writer too, but I have trouble following books like that. I thrive on paragraphs...

This will be fun - sort of a trip down memory lane. I haven't read either of these in many years, but I remember they were good.

@lrcy333 - all you have to do is read the book and join in on the discussion when it opens...you do not have to read each book for each discussion...if you find you dont have time to read one during one month and want to skip it or find yourself disinterested in the book, etc...
glad to have you on board in our little book club...let me know if there are any other questions LadyTwilight or i can help you with!... s

What happends if u finish the book early and forgot most of it at the time of the discussion?
