I can read close to 1800 pages a day... so I'm always finished with a book before most everyone else is in a group or something... so what I do is I get hole protectors(if I own it) or the bookmark kind of post-its. OR... I take little notes with page number and the first and last three words. I also write down any really strong thoughts I had going through... like if something really struck me and I had a deep thought or it inspired me to write a poem or something like that. It makes for great discussion later... and it actually helps you remember little things you can tell people about the book to help get them psyched about it... without giving anything away.

no problem. and... yeah... i'm a speed reader... and I still retain it all. But... yeah... before I had my own computer... I was reading 3 books a day on average... and was often into a 4th. I became personal friends with a couple of the volunteers at the library. ^.^"

@lrcy the book Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is probably going to be on our poll for future books. So stick around and it will probably pop up sooner or later, given that people vote for it. So make sure you vote!
And I think Marians idea of you writing down ideas and thoughts is a fantastic idea for everyone to do. That way when discussion day arrives the conversation doesn't lag. Write down thoughts, feelings, quotes you loved and why, questions, just anything that pops into your head.

I've already talked it over with Oracle and Aisling and it's going to stay in the Village Square for now. The new poll topic will also be opened in the village square later this week.

I think Oracle will make sure it stays on page one, if it starts slipping down a lot she will probably pin it to the important topics. If not I will talk to her about it more when the moment arises. If one of the mods wants to pin it to the important topics in the village square that's fine with me though.

sounds good...it would be nice to keep a visible reminder to others that we are still here doing this...i know for some they may think it is a good idea but forget about it because it is "out of sight, out of mind"...

@Marian, mine too. I'm kind of what you would call a detail oriented freak haha. I like things to be organized. So if the club starts to not run so smoothly, believe me i'll be on it asap.

I'm going to read books on my own now during vacation when I finally have more time for them again, but I still found some inspiration here ^_^ Though the problem with fantasy books in my city is that I don't want to and can't afford to buy them but in libraries either they don't have them or they are borrowed with like 10 requirements from next people who want the book! Now I managed to borrow some but still not all I would like to read u_u For the series by Sapkowski there's a queue of 9 people before me, also I wanted the Eragon books but they don't even have them in the library
