HISTORY OF THIS CLUB
I actually wanted to just start a Bunny Club, but i thought it would be selfish because not all people have Rabbits. XD and since i'm fine with all animals (babies, at least ^^ cubs, puppies, kitties, you name it) i started this Animal Lovers Club!

yes! i've been waiting for this can't wait for more people to come. this will be fun

what a cute idea...hmm...i dont have any pets (i did when i was a little girl)...i tell everyone that my sister is my pet...but she doesnt always care for that...but i will definitely come by and see what everyone posts...

quick story:

my sister found a turtle by the side of the road and brought it home several years ago...she took it to her environmental science teacher and i really cant remember the name...red something box turtle...anyhow, i remember how she would let the turtle roam around our apartment...WITHOUT letting me know in advance..sooo...every so often i would be on the couch reading and when i put my foot down my foot would encounter a turtle shell...i would scream, she would laugh...

the turtle lived only a few years...we both think the turtle died of loneliness...we were never home and she just stopped eating...her name was priscilla...

Cute pic! We have a rabbit, but he doesn't drive.

Anyway - we actually have lots of pets around the house. Our dumbest pet is our dog. He was supposed to be a runt, but ended up huge. He's a chocolate lab and my husband says that his brains fell out somewhere along the line. He loves to run around outside on our farmette, but he is always worried that you might do something interesting, so as he runs, he tries to watch you at the same time. Once he ran smack into a tree doing that! My husband says it was just like those cartoons where they fold up like an accordian. Still, the dog just got up and shook himself off - like nothing happened - idiot .

excellent, can't stop laughing while imagining it... anyway, poor dog

I got a funny story about Snowball.
Once i was in the garde tending to my flowers when she bounced to me and sniffed my slipper. Then guess what. She just suddenly gave a twitch and jumped about a foot in the air!

I was shocked as usual and petted her, crooning (hehehe baby talk) and she just licked my finger. Then she bounced off to her hole and disappeared in it. Then later i heard rustlings and went over to check. I couldn't help laughing.

Why? My rabbit, being so fat from all the carrots and pellets we feed her, was stuck!! Only her head could be seen and she was tugging and pulling herself to get out of the hole LOL!!!!!!

But she was still stuck so i called my dad and he slowly dug around her and soon she was free and back to her bouncy self again lol.

oh, here are some stuff rabbit-owners should know (if you already do... then...)

rabbits are actually clean animals. so no need to bathe them. XD and feeding them a lot of greens make their faeces stinkier. lol

This is so nice club, I`m an animal lover too

I will tell you the story about my cat, just later cause i don`t have time right now.

i have a story also
i was having a beauty evening. when i had on the face mask my dog got very angry he thought i didn't belong in his house

my dog's a bit like that. she gets easily alarmed, angry, dominating, upset, scared, sad, happy....
once when i was in the park with her and had taken her leash off to let her have a bit of a run (there was no one around), a stray dog suddenly appeared and chinie (my dog's name) having nothing better to do, ran straight to it (with me after her), barking the place down! but one growl from the other dog was all it took to make her to fall back, tail between her legs, but the moment she saw that i was right behind her; she felt empowered and again started towards the other dog, which, by the way, was twice her size! by that time i had picked her up in my arms, with her barking more loudly than ever of course, and started towards home!
she's too spoilt for words, but that's just the way i love her!

@snowbunnies - that reminds of those episodes of Winnie the Pooh where Pooh bear gets stuck with the honey jar or in the hole!...lol

@wybrich - i can imagine what he must have thought when he saw your face...

@chimera - isnt it funny how animals are a lot like children?...they get brave, then they take a step back, and when they realize they arent alone they get brave again...

And now she's adorable and looks so sweet ... I'm sure she's a faithful friend and you are her back
And I agree with you that many animals really act like babies... my cats are like that and not so independant at all for cats
always near us and asking for cuddles and attention
But I also guess that it depends on how you are with them too...
