you can do whichever you prefer. Either way, people are going to be able to hear your music.

Nick's List - Something you can groove to

HERE

1. Katy Perry's edgy new pop song, I Kissed a Girl has been topping all the charts in the past few weeks. Watch out for this hot new-comer on this years Warped Tour.

2. Thunder, by Boys Like Girls is an emo inspired rock song about summer time love. It doesnt get any better than this.

3. Miley Cyrus' newest bubblegum pop song, 7 Things, will soon having you jumping up and down like a 14-year-old high school girl, no matter your age. You hate to love it.

4. Leona Lewis is the newest Brit to top the charts; her break through song in America, Bleeding Love, shows off some of her talents.

5. Chris Brown has been dominating the American singles charts for awhile now; His newest song, Forever, is no exception.

6. Janet Jackson is back! her newest CD has been a smashing sucess, and her upcoming tour promises to be feirce. Feedback is the first of three singles off her new CD, Discipline, thus far.

7. While the lead singer of Metro Station may be pigheaded and unpleasant, their one (and only) single, Shake It will have you grooving all night long.

8. Misery Buisness by Paramore is one of the bands older singles on their newest CD. But you can never go wrong with this contemporary rock classic.

9. Paula Abdul has been out of commission for awhile, but her latest and greatest dance hit, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow, certainly delivers. She may be the cracked out judge of American Idol, but she's still got it.

10. Rihanna's on fire. Out of the SIX singles from her latest alblum, Disturbia is the newests and most amazing. You can never go wrong with Rihanna.

eh...cant stand that leona lewis song...for something so peppy it's rather depressing...just doesnt do it for me, but a lot of people like it...

great picks all around though!

Open in new window

Moonlight Serenade is now on air. I'm Lady Twilight, thank you for joining me on this lovely evening. I would like the share with you an array of musical wonders. The songs I have selected all move me deeply and I hope they will do the same for you. I am strong believer that music can invoke emotions, thoughts and memories within us.

I believe that some musical genres do not get the appreciation they deserve. Hopefully you will become a fan of one of the genres shared throughout my show.

Sit back and relax to the harmonious music of Moonlight Serenade.

1.) Twilight and Shadow by Howard Shore (from the soundtrack of Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
2.) The Battle by Harry Gregson and John Williams (from the soundtrack of the Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)
3.) Mina/Dracula by Wojciech Kilar (from the soundtrack of Bram Stoker's Dracula)
4.) Pan’s Labyrinth Lullaby by Javier Navarrete (from the soundtrack of Pan’s Labyrinth)
5.) May It Be by Enya (from the soundtrack of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring)
6.) What Are You Asking Me by James Newton Howard (from the soundtrack of the Village)

@serendipity I'm glad you like it. As I go on finding new songs I'll just continue to add them to my playlist in my cottage. I liked the picture a lot too. I found another one I like too though, it was hard to decide. I may switch between the two.

@Lord_Maeglin
I love the first track, too. Gackt is one of my favourite artists and he does an awesome job of mixing different sounds together (like flutes with rock? XD) I'm not really sure if it was flutes in the background, but it sounds like it. The melody played by the flutes is actually taken from one of his previous songs, "Mind Forest". "RETURNER ~Yami no Shuen" was actually his first single to hit the #1 spot in the Oricon charts in Japan - I'm so proud of him! XD He deserves it. He's been in the music industry for years.

@serendipity
I know what you mean XD Many people I know find it weird that I listen to music in Japanese...

@Nick
LMAO I love "I Kissed a Girl"! Me and two of my friends like to blast it in the car, belting it out in our wonderful, off-key voices. When we went to visit my friend's home, we were about to get out of her car to go into this store when the chorus of that song was coming up...

Friend: Mom, wait! We have to stay until at least the chorus is done.
Mom: Um...ok.
[Chorus comes on]
Me and friends: (singing and dancing) "I KISSED A GIRL AND I LIKED IT...!"
Mom: (stunned look) What are you girls on?!

"Misery Business" (and Paramore songs in general) and "Bleeding Love" are also favourites *heart*

@LadyT
Awesome playlist. I love movie soundtracks like those! Definitely loving "The Battle", although the others are awesome, too XD

I know I am not exactly set up in this club, but it's been a while since we have had any music on AM radio, so I set up a short playlist with some down-tempo songs. Here is a brief run-through of the selection:

Northern Lights by Boots Ottestad is actually a joint effort with Science For Girls (one of the bands I listened to a lot this past year). Very easy on the ears and has a slight jazzy feel to the ears.

Destiny by Zero 7 is sung by Sia, a great singer that has a deep soulful quality to her voice at times. Her personality is a little on the quirky side which is why I love her so much.

Center of the Sun is a collaboration with Conjure One and super-cool Poe. She was a bit more popular in the 90s, but her voice is so rich and lovely.

The Chauffeur is a re-make of a Duran Duran classic featuring the lawyer-by-day-musician-by-night Sleepthief and Kirsty Hawkshaw on vocals. Well done, overall.

The final track is an Untitled Track (actually, I didn't have time to look it up - but it has been used in various commercials/movies I believe). Jody Quine has an ethereal voice and she does frequent collaborations with other musicians, including Sleepthief.

Enjoy!

I think it's because we're only suppose to put up one playlist every two weeks. And all the DJ's already have one up. Nice playlist serendipity. Thanks for sharing.

I know I'm a day early but I had the time and was itchy for some more music. Glad to have you tune in to Reminiscent Rock.

Do you remember the ever loved "I'm lookin at myself, Reflections of my mind..." Taking you back to 1970 when 'The Moodyblues' were just a group of kids from England trying to get a start. Listen to the relaxing strains of Tuesday Afternoon.

That was then and this is now:The Story in Your Eyes

In 1975 Richard Christopher Wakeman came on the scene with .Journey to the Center of the Earth . Originally a classically trained pianist, he was a pioneer in the use of electronic keyboards and in the use of a rock band in combination with orchestra and choir.
That was then and this is now: Keyboard Solo

In 1972 a young Kenny Loggins joined up with the singing talent of Jim Messinah and brought us the unforgetable House at Pooh Corner

That was then and this is now:Your Heart Will lead you Home

Let this 1972 Classic ease your ears into the past while you, Take It Easy
. The Eagles are the best selling American Rock band ever. This California band has it's roots in Los Angeles with 5 number 1 singles and 6 number 1 albums to their credit.

That was then and this is now:Hotel California

And finally who can forget 1976 when 10cc came up the charts with The Things We Do For Love

That was then and this is now.Rubber Bullets

Yay! Eagles songs!

The Eagles greatest hits was one of the common CDs for summer roadtrips with friends.

Edit
@Oracle, I was looking at your earlier playlist and the Buddy Holly and Big Bopper song caught my eye. It reminds me of the musical play "Buddy" that I recently saw. That was a fun show.
As a joke, before the play started I leaned over to my bf to ask "who's Buddy Holly?" but mistakenly asked "who is Buddy Holiday?" (well, both of those singers died the same year)

*dancing in chair while listening to 'That'll be the day"
