by any chance will there be a movie club, where a movie's picked out for each month and at the end, we can discuss, or do a review on it or both...who knows, we could probably come up with something more creative to do... just wondering
P.S. I hope there isn't one yet and if there is one already...how do late comers get to join? =/
P.P.S. has anyone ever thought of doing something like a photography club, or is that similar to one of the clubs/forums on here? just curious.
Note: sorry my posts always seem to be a short novel I'll try to work on it

@chimera, would love a music club! i just simply love music and am a great fan of it. not just actually the current music, but other genres. i play the piano and a bit of other instruments. i say go for it!

@amitiel and lrcy, i like the film/movie club. that would be a nice place for people to discuss kinda like the book club, but films

It would be nice to talk about all the new movies coming out AND the ones we've been to see. I would like to discuss more than just a selected movie though. Likes and dislikes of anything we go to see. Feel free to start your club amitiel.

I think a movie/film club is a great idea I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread when I was throwing out ideas for people. I think it's on the first page. I would participate in a movie club for sure. I'm a huge movie buff.

As for the photography club, also a great idea. I'd be willing to start it up. If anyone has ideas on how to run it etc PM them to me. I'll try to get it up and going this weekend.

I was also thinking, someone should start up a RL adventures club. A place where people can share stories and pictures of their vacations etc. Places they've been, things they seen, crazy things they've done like skydiving, deep sea fishing, rock climbing, and so on.

The movie club sounds like a wonderful idea. I don't watch movies too often, so when I do, I try to pick ones I know I'll really like. Reading reviews beforehand really helps that ^^

The photography club is a great idea as well (yes, I see it's already up X3) I've never been too into taking pictures, but many people always say the pics I take come out really well, so maybe this club will get me out there and trying a little harder

Maybe we could have a "Geek,Inc." club, where we can discuss computer problems not related to AM and Site Help. Then we could direct all problems there.
Maybe list tutorial links in the opening post, "How to's about everything."

That would be really helpful Oracle. It would be awesome if someone started up that club. Plus they could link to some of the topics that have already been posted and answered on stuff like viruses etc.

As for the movie club it could kind of be organized like the book club in that people could join and choose movies to talk about her in the clubhouse and then various threads could be started in VS discussing different movies, that way the conversations wouldn't get mushed together and confusing.

I have gathered up all the unclaimed suggestions for clubs and listed them in the first post. If you are interested in hosting one of them let me know and I will remove it from the list

btw, i would love to start the musicians club, but i don't know what to do there. plus, i'll be away almost for the whole week since my college entrance exam is coming up.

@nic_c: best of luck for your exam!!! and as for the musicians club; maybe you could start with discussing anything you want to; related to music; like about your favourite bands or the genres of music you like, or the instruments you play/like/learning, or exchange notes or sheet music for songs....etc.

I had another idea for a club. What about a parenting club. People that are parents or grandparents etc here on AM could share stories about their kids, pictures of their kids, give advice or even ask for advice.
