Talia delivered the final blow to her opponent, who fell defeated. When it hit the ground it exploded to dust. She slumped and leaned against a large mushroom, munching on a loaf of bread to give her a boost of energy before taking on another nightmare.
A black butterfly fluttered in her face, making her jump. She eyed it, wondering if it was bad enough to get rid of. She decided against it when she saw a faint figure in the distance. She peered at it suspiciously.
She got up, dusted herself off, and held her priestess staff at the ready. As it got closer and closer, a feeling of impending doom spread throughout her body. She moaned loudly. This is not what I needed at the moment!
The figure stood tall and was covered from head to toe in blue, spiky armour. She gulped down her fears and quickly restored herself to the full with a potion, knowing it would be needed.
Finally he was there, right in front of her. Before she could do anything, he grabbed her arm and a jerking sensation told her she was travelling. Fear wormed itself in her again as she found she couldn’t mouth the words to form a spell.
Suddenly the world stood still and she went tumbling to the ground. She cried out as cold pricked itself through her cloak and snowflakes landed on her face. Where am I? Am I still in Dream World? She blinked and rolled over, just avoiding a fireball.
“Who…what are you?” She demanded, feeling power well up in her hand. The figure…the nightmare…said nothing, just launched another hot fireball toward her. She ducked and let loose a streaming line of electricity, jutting out the tip of her staff. She moved closer and whipped it around her head, intending to jab the mysterious person. It never landed. The momentum made her spin herself around and she went crashing to the edge. The edge? She scrambled away from the cliff and glanced around her. She was on a mountain.

She turned and saw him again; standing about ten feet away. His palm was facing the sky, and small flickers of flame were wrapping themselves around him. She took a step back despite herself. “Who are you?” she muttered, distracted by the bright flames. “Some know me as the daeva Agas, priestess.”
She jerked her head up and stared into his cold, dark eyes. “That is impossible!” She scoffed, momentarily forgetting her predicament. “Agas was sent into the Demon Realm, along with every other daeva. You cannot be him!”
His cold, loud laugh rang through the night with no one but herself and…the man…to hear it. “You are mistaken, priestess. Our master has set us free…we are back home.”
Talia rocked back as she grasped at what he was saying. Oh, no… “Your master?”
He was silent and the flames flared. Talia’s eyes started to well up with tears. She could feel his power grow and she could do nothing about it. Finally, finally, he whispered one dreaded name: “Ahriman.”
She shivered and shook her head in denial. “T-that’s not possible. He was defeated long ago…I- I defeated him…” Her words spiralled through the air, feeble and lacking any backbone. Agas’s , for she knew he was telling the truth, power reached a breaking point. The flames burst from his body and smacked into Talia and she collapsed, just barely hearing the words form themselves from Agas’s mouth… “Goodnight, priestess.”

A whirl of hot air whooshed around the mountain top, and feeble consciousness returned to Talia. The daeva had left. I …am not dead…yet.
She closed her eyes and concentrated. A flutter of movement on her cheek told her it had worked. The butterfly landed on her fingertips and she whispered, “It is time. Get the girl.” It flashed and slowly faded into space.
Talia waited. Come, my girl, come quickly…I do not have much time…
Finally a small figure flashed into view some twenty feet away from Talia. She looked around wildly and her light purple hair was quickly dampened by snow. Talia took a shaky breath and mustered up all her strength. “Help…me…” Her words were barely audible.
The young girl's head snaped in her direction and she stared at the unmoving woman. She raced over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “What can I do?” She asked.
“The portal…” she coughed, “Drag me to the portal.”
As she felt herself move, Talia gasped at the pain and fell into darkness once more.

The first of many...maybe. Depends on the readers ^_^
Please leave contructive critism!
I might've gotten the words spoken wrong. I have a confession: I haven't played Aveyond in a while!
Hope you like it!

@ Tei: if I have my way, Rashnu will play a fairly big role...and nooo...I've never actually seen a nightmare. (didn't know you could) but yes, will do.
@Mu11berry: "...yet" XD you sound like one of those villans. "I will not kill you...yet"
@Mizzou: Thanks! ^^ And yes, Talia is definitely my favourite character, and it will all be from her point of view.

Next Update will be...Monday or Tuesday. I'll be updating for often too, don't worry

XD-OK! finally! An update. I'm not sure if this is as good as the first. I thought it lacked a little emotion. Read anyway, though!
------
Talia awoke face down in soft grass. She felt the warm sun beat down on her back, and small hands flip her so her face faced the sky.
"Pa! PA! Come quick!"
Talia heard someone approached them. "Rhen! Are you okay?"
As the man got closer, she heard his faint gasp as he recognized her. Talia smiled slightly as she imagined Tailor shrinking back into denial.
"Who is this stranger?" His voice sounded irritated.
"I don't know daddy, but she's hurt."
So this was the girl.
She was so small, so...young. Innocent.
Talia thought her moment to speak came. With her eyes still closed, she murmered, "Is that you Tailor? I have come..." Talia coughed and leaned over, retching on the grass. Even more faintly, so the words were bare whispers, "It is time..."
"You two KNOW each other?"
There was silence from Tailor as he struggled internaly. "We must go back to the cottage."

He picked Talia up with rough hands and slung her over his back, leaving the young girl gaping behind them. When they were walking up dirt steps and passed a wooden sign that had 'Clearwater' scrawled across it, Talia felt a faint tingle of surprise. "Clearwater?" She said into his back.

"It's small and remote, peaceful. It's perfect to hide Rhen in." His gravely voice soothed her and Talia had trouble keeping her eyes open.
"I suppose..."
She drifted off as the walked on, only to be jerked awake when he stopped before a wooden door. He pushed it open and quickly maneuvered through the house, ignoring the questioning look from a redheaded woman.
She felt herself be lowered carefully onto a bed, which seemed to be the softest thing in the world at the moment.
Talia breathed out through clenched teeth, trying to lessen the pain. She stole a glance at Tailor, who had seated himself in a chair in the corner with a dark expression. His arms were crossed and his eyes were narrowed, like a little boy resenting getting into trouble.
He caught her glance and muttered, "How've you been?"
"Better."
His upper lip twitched. "Hope you don't mind me when I say I really, really haven't missed you."
Talia nodded grimly and winced with pain. Her throbbing conciousness was threatening to fade away. She pushed herself awake.
"Agas..."
His angry eyes turned on her. "Agas?" He asked, with one eyebrow arched.
"Agas."
Tailor let out a low whistle, and fire erupted in his eyes. "Rhen..." he moaned.
Talia fought off a wave of searing pain and whispered, "My ring...I'll give it to her."
Shock dropped Tailor's mouth, but before he could say anything, he heard his door from below slam. Loud footsteps found their way up the stairs and Rhen marched in the room.
"Pa-"
Tailor cut her off and quickly glanced to the bed. Talia had finally slipped into sleep. His heart hammered when he remembered her injuries.
"Rhen- Go find the herbalist and bring her here."
"But-"
"NO. Go. Now."
Rhen turned and marched right back out the door. Tailor sighed, and turned back to the woman. He pulled the scratchy blankets over her figure and he murmered,
"How I wish you didn't ever come..."

That part is good, I like it. I like the interaction between Talia and Tailor since you don't get that in the game.

@Tei: Really? I wonder if I just write things that I think are crappy, and they'll turn out to be masterpieces. XD something to think about. And Rashnu, sadly, might not turn up for another long while
@Mizzou: I plan to focus on the interactions that you don't get in the game. It's fun to imagine it ^^
Thanks! Most likely will update tomorrow. MAYBE later today.

Hmm...small little thing I enjoyed writing. This is Talia's time, unconcious, healing from her burns.

---------

Pain. No one knows the meaning of pain until they've felt this. Burning, stinging, agonizing fire erupted and roared throughout my entire body. It oliberates any reason, control, sense, or thought. Pain strips you to your bare minimum until you have nothing left, nothing but a drive. A drive to escape.

I'm likin' it more and more...
I can't wait to figure out what Tailor was talking about... "really, really haven't missed you,"
I'll admit, the wait is driving me nuts, and i just now finished reading it!
