Ok, I copied and pasted the code that was retrieved for my cottage via Google cache. But the images and such didn't show up privately. I found out what was wrong but now I don't see the edit button anywhere. I'm about to cry. T_T

Also, I can't see the comment that Abby left for me in my own cottage.

Did you view it via your profile? or did you clicked the view your cottage link above?

there are small buttons below the cottage, one of it is the edit button.

I clicked on View Your Cottage but the edit button is gone now.

I believe the edit button is one of those little pictures on the bottom right hand of your cottage. and i think you have to visit your cottage through the link in your profile to see comments (it happened to me in the old site as well).

Ahhh yes, the first link worked. DtD gave it to me and I was able to fix things up. I'll leave my cottage empty for now and get around to fixing it when I get the chance.

I wasn't sure whether this problem belonged here or in the cottage help section but anyway...

I noticed that if a person's cottage has a lot of coding, members can't see or leave comments. This happened to my cottage (before I was able to remove all the coding-thus, I have an empty cottage for now lol) and I noticed the problem in Omega's. I wanted to leave a comment there but I can't because I don't see any such place to leave a comemnt.

so it IS the amount of coding? coolie! mystery solved!

Yup, I believe that's the problem. I'm hoping that this gets fixed. I'd hate to have to limit how much coding we're allowed just so we can get comments and all. O_o

Maybe you should go to your profile and get it from there.

I found the comments. I mentioned it somewhere else but this problem has to do with the length of coding that you put in your cottage. If there's too much, there's no place to see or leave comments.

I remember when the first incarnation of this site was new, some members using Firefox couldn't see any cottage buttons and the problem was eventually fixed.

I'm using Firefox now and I can see all the buttons, but the problem may still exist for some users.

Strange, I thought I had a lot of coding in my cottage o.O

Well, I took a look at your cottage last night and it doesn't look like yours has that much. Now I saw Omega's and karma's and there's no place to leave or see any comments. I think they had more coding. I had this same problem as well until DtD helped me out with the editing and I just removed all the coding for my cottage. I'm hoping that this problem gets fixed soon.

There has been some testing ive been doing and some cottages only have the post comment box in one of the rooms.

I think I see what the problem is. It looks like you copied your cottage code from the google cache or something because some of the words are highlighted in blue and yellow. Perhaps this has prevented the comment box from showing?
