I clicked on guild hall and it says it needs 1000 gold. So I'm assuming I need to make 1000 posts before I can a join a guild, correct?

I don't really understand our profile. Like hint points (hp), what makes it go up and down? And what his it really for besides it showing up in our profile and village square.

The only thing of interest in your profile is the amount of gold you have. All the other things are currently only used to give the place an RP feel. Whether it's ever going to be used for anything else I don't know. (HP is health points. Level and EXP are based on post count as well, and HP and MP I believe are based on a combination of post count and join date)

You are correct in your assumption about 1000 gold - keep in mind that posts in Spam Haven only contribute to your gold count for a little while. After Amanda turns it off, the remainder of your gold will come from posts in places other than SH.

1000 gold is gonna take awhile cause I don't post much. but am gonna try my hardest.

the best way is to just play the games yourself (AV1, AV2, AP, GH), come to the forum if you have questions, and eventually you'll get to the point where you're answering questions for others. Take part in the discussions going on elsewhere and get to know people. Your gold will just creep up and one day you'll be there

Yes, Gold = Posts (Also including blog replies 'n such., assuming Amanda didn't mod XOOP's posting framework)

The HP, ect. is based off of complicated alogthrims based off of your posts and the number of seconds you've had an account (funny isn't it)
I used to have a topic explaining all of the alogthrims, I might have it on my other computer somewhere, I'll check tomorrow.

I would like to ask about my troubles with the site here since I can't start a new topic.

As many others could notice, firefox users don't have the buttons for editing, Add reply or starting a new thread, so I hope this will be possible to be fixed soon.
But not only that I can't use them in firefox, I can't with explorer either. In fact I can not even log in using IE. Any ideas how this could be fixed? I always log in and get the message saying "Thanks for logging in" but then it takes me back to the main page, with the boxes for loging in in the upper part and I am not logged in. I normally don't use IE at all, but I wanted to as I saw that some functions were unavailable here with firefox. The IE I have is version 7.

I'm not sure what's happening with your IE, but Amanda has stated that she's going to be looking into fixing Firefox this week.

Thanks shaz and everyone else for answering my questions. yes the 1000 gold will take awhile since the I mostly only post in the tips/hint section with questions, hehe. I'm not a pro at aveyond yet to help answering questions but I'll try my best.

Hi Bacman, You need to earn 1000Gold, you do that by getting involved in the forums and joining the events and conversations. We have a lot of fun. Check out the Clubhouse (at the top of the Village Square) and the Hungry Boar Tavern.

You need the following conditions:

-1000 Golds
-Clean record, meaning that you didn't cause any trouble when getting the gold
-Approval from the admin, there's a submission form in the Guild Hall (Left Side Menu). Use that one.
