To join a guild, you must submit an application form. Here's an outline of what goes on, on the other side of the fence, once the application has been submitted.


Step 1
Amanda, Bryce and I (all admins) receive a copy of the application. When we have time to process it, the first thing we do is check your gold. Yes, even if you've ticked the box that says "I have 1000 gold" we still go to your profile and check it. So please don't submit an application unless you really do have 1000 gold. And please don't submit application after application (especially asking for different guilds!) - we do them when we have time; it's not automatic. Most applications are processed within a few hours - it's unlikely you'll wait 24 hours or more to be placed into your chosen guild.

Step 2
We add you to two new groups. One is Guild Members which gives you access to a new block in the panel on the right of your screen, and to Guild Headquarters, where you can see Guild Hall. The other is the group for your chosen guild, which gives you access to the guild forum and blog.

Step 3
We create a "welcome to the guild" topic in the New Recruits Greetings area. If you don't see a topic in there announcing your entry into a guild, then your application hasn't been processed yet. Once you see the topic, all is done and you can go hang out with your new guildmates.

Step 4
You may need to log out and log in again, in order to update your permissions. If you log out and back in after your guild announcement has been made, and you still don't see the Guild Headquarters, send me a PM - it's likely you were only added to one group rather than both, and will take a short time to fix
