Stella x Gyendal = SOOOOO COMPLETELY AWESOME AND SOOOOOOOOOO ROMANTIC!!!! (Romantic because it would never ever happen!)

Mel x Gyendal = Whut? Why would I vote for that when it's totally Mel x Edward through and through? And also for all we know they could be distant (like, really distant) relatives.

Gyendal x Lydia = Would not work because one of them would probably kill the other within a week of their marriage.

Te'ijal x Gyendal = Ummmm . . . . . . Let's not discuss this one.

Gyendal x some random fangirl = unlikely, cause Gyendal has more important things to do than walk around the streets looking for a vampress.

Alright, sorry for reviving such an old topic, but after TLO's major interactions between Gyendal and Lydia, as well as interactions between some newer characters... What are the arguments now?

(For some reason I'm still standing by GXS)

Mel. With Te'ijal as my second choice. Why? Well, for the same reason I support Agas/Rhen: I AM A CRACK SHIPPER!!! My mind is automatically set to be drawn to LOLwhut pairings.

actually, those two are just my "if I reaaaaallly have to" choice. Both of them are still OMGOHLORDNOWAYPLEASENO. Te'ijal because incest is squicky to me and Mel... Well... I hate Mel. I like Gyendal. End of story. It's such a waste for Gyendal to hook up with Mel, but on the other hand, Mel hooking with Gyendal would make me like her a teeensy weensy bit more. Especially since I loathe Ed/Mel pairing even more than I loathe either of the two characters. Hated character hooking up with another hated character = double times the hate.

Mel doesn't have to be a noble. She could just be his girlfriend/wife/slave/toy/whatever and not be involved in the ruling the world thing. I see this pairing as "ExS from my old days", back when Saurva hasn't taken to acting like a living statue but that's just me seeing my daevas everywhere. Yeah.

Gyendal/Stella: NO! Because I support Edward/Stella.
Gyendal/Lydia: ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I hate Lydia more than I hate Mel!! It's such a waste for Gyendal!

Since people are calling nonsense choices, here's my tidbit: Gyendal/Zarich. Ha! Coz the Reaper of the Reaper Express is Zarich in disguise.

I have at least ONE female Zarich in my daeva inventory Pairing Gyendal with Eithera to me is almost like pairing Eithera with Agas: it's okay but it just doesn't fit. Plus, we already have Mel. What would we need Eithera for? They have the same stubborn tsundere personality, which is why I said Gyendal/Mel is like Eithera/Saurva from my early daeva fantard days. Back when my Saurva isn't such a womanly uke with the facial expression range of a teaspoon and Snape-like bored voice.

Back to topic.

How I think the Gyendal/Mel pairing works... Hard to explain because I think my brain works rather weird and things that makes perfect sense to me be complete nonsense to others I guess in my head it stems off the obsession and him sort of getting carried away with the whole Spook thing. It depends on what happens when they turn back into humans, really. I don't know if turning into humans changed them emotionally, being that both Te'ijal and Gyendal have been vampires all their lives. With Te'ijal it seems that nothing changed except for physical matters like needing eat and sleep, being weaker, and reduced senses...

Most of it is just me blowing off certain quotes out of proportion and pulling all sorts of nonsense to make it fit. I mean, my crack pairings that actually stick do too have reason behind it, not just random pairing up just because I said so. Although most of it is just my rather warped view of practically EVERYTHING and my brain working in a weird way...

No matter what, I'm still sticking to Gyendal x Stella to the very end. Even after TLO, I feel as if they have that certain charm for some reason. Even though it's unlikely, I wish that in TDP Gyendal might have a Heel Face Turn/Villainous BSOD and we get to see Stella forgiving him for everything. ;_; It'll make me cry for sure.

To be honest, Gyendal and Stella really do seem kawaii together, for some reason xD Opposites attract? owo

Strange that while I usually support opposite attracts pairings, I do not for this one. Maybe coz I'm already dead set with Edward/Stella and had me thinking "NO GYENDAL CAN'T HAVE HER!!!"

I agree about Gyendal/Mel pair XD She was so perfect with Spook XD and I can't see lovey-dovey between her and Edward...but I can so see it with Gyendal after TLO XD

I can see Mel for some reason thinking about how handsome Gyendal is and then going "No no no no no no no when will that goddamn love potion wear off?!!??!! AAAAAAAHHH!!!!" Oh yesssss.... Hate/love couples are so much fun

I still prefer Mel because there is more friction and it makes it hotter. Stella is just... meh. If she really DID mean to kill Gyendal like she said she wanted to, she would've hopped on the journey in TLO to REALLY kill him. Saying things and not doing 'em later is really epic fail *harumph*

On a side note, I really need transcripts of the AV3 cutscenes. I'm such a canon-nazi that even if I wreck canon, I want it to still stick to canon as closely as possible.
