Couldn't find help with this on my own anywhere on the site...how do you get the aveyond games to run on mac? and if they don't, then why?

Because all of the games posted here (unless specifically called out) are Windows games, if you want to run them on a MAC, you need to run them under Windows emulation (there are many emulators to choose from), or simply create a dual-boot partition on your hard disc and have one partition Windows, the other MAC, and boot between them as needed.

The reason this is required is because Windows-based games make specific Win32 API calls which are not available on the MAC.

As you might expect, running a game under an emulator does impact performance... but we've tested it here and the Aveyond games are still quite playable.

We're aware that there are MAC systems out there, and we do have a game comming in Feb/2010 that will run natively on the MAC.

That's excellent! I've been too disappointed with PC's and switched to Mac's exclusively....I've gone through 4 PC's in two years and grew tired of constantly getting them fixed; too many problems :-/
