OK Goldy in auburn says to bring him a replacement shield to get his traditional one where do i find this replacement?

You can find one in the King's Castle (northwest of Federal Woy) in a silver chest. The chest is in the room to the right of the throne room, IIRC.

Thanks that was really helpful just got one more issue, what with Sema saying there's plenty of stuff in Krumton to fight Zeron with where do I start? Ive searched all of Krumton and can't find a thing.

You're welcome.
There are a couple of areas just outside of Krumton which were inacessible earlier. Check the path between Ashdy and Krumpton thouroughly to find them. You need to have Alarem in your party to jump over those gaps. You'll find some useful stuff there including Sema's ultimate weapon.
