Yeah, the Nox/Mel identity. That's why I wish there was a /little/ more in terms of the story. I thought it was a little too cliffhangery. There was a darkling that says Mel looks familiar. I figure it's because 1) Mel's a Darkthrop, Darkthrops look similar, and the Darklings can recognize a Darkthrop, or 2) Mel looks like Nox and Nox frequents the Underfall, identitiy confusion.
Therefore: Nox is related to Mel, Nox is Mel, or Nox just for some inexplicable reason resembles Mel.

actually, the nox/spook relationship will become clear once the final battle commences. at least, the relationship as far as this book is concerned

And no, you don't *have* to buy AM's version. BFG will take our update soon (I hope), but it's probably going to be some time (I think). understand that while we can offer updates to the portals, we cannot force them to take it. the most updated version of the game will still always be amaranthia's, no matter how "unfair" you feel it to be.

well, i can't complain about that. the only reason i buy BFG games instead of AM is that the cost less.

But yeah, I do think that Nox is some kind of version of Mel, or something along the lines of that. The resemblance is too uncanny. And Nox as Mel from an alternate reality seems possible since Nox hints in knowing about the "beginning of the end".

who knows but the strange thing the first piece trys to save the darktrohps from the darklings and nox does the other way around

hmm...I wonder if anyone else also noticed but in the beginning of the game,doesn't Rayina call her baby a 'he'? "you will never get him" or something to that effect.Even in darkthrop's note,there is mention of a 'he'.

@Aisling: I've got the AM version... I must've missed this cutscene that explains their resemblance... Will have to replay. Whereabouts? Near the beginning? End? Maybe I can just load something I've saved and catch it...

yay. i beat the game on both easy and hard mode XD

and going by my cassia leaves count (since I bought 99 early on): died about 70+ times to do it on hard mode XD

hard mode is the best due to most monsters regenerating. makes farming so much easier/faster/challenging. Easy mode: not enough monsters spawn to get a good amount of money.

Darkthrop assumed (as do all madmen who want to take over the world) that the descendant who would fulfil the prophecy would be a male Since he died about 200 years ago, you need to realise that there were several generations between Tunsten/Rayina and Mel.

For the scene Aisling is talking about, you need to go to the Darkling HQ and talk to the darkling inside. This may be only in the AM version as it was added very late during testing, and we've already discovered a few late additions that were sent to BFG, but didn't make it in time for their release.

We'll be giving them a new build in the next few days, which they WILL make available to their customers asap. This build will fix game-breaking bugs, so they can't NOT offer it.

by the way, if Mels and the Pendragons bloodlines mix it is very possible that a relative of Mr. D will once rule the world, but then its not necessarily a bad thing.
