Edward didn't have Excalibur in TLO.

Stella's homeland, Naylith, was full of people with butterfly wings. It shouldn't have been a surprise that she'd have butterfly wings, too.

I sincerely preferred the canon. I love to see Stella and Edward around together rather than Mel and him. But I would still marry Edward to Belf instead of Lydia, I mean, even an orc is better than her!

I don't know if this belongs here, but... Since turning into a vampire classifies you as "dead" (you even get a death certificate), wouldn't the simplest way to thwart the Darkthrop Prophecy is to have Mel turn into a vampire?

Maybe it's just me, but since the orbs can only be used by a Darkthrop I thought they could "sense" that a Darkthrop is alive somehow and if the last heir dies they would blow up or something. It would mean that Uma and Nox disappears, but that isn't such a big deal. Plus, the whole thing would just stop in GON because suppose the orbs DO blow up if Mel becomes a vampire, then the hunt for the Orb of Darkness would not happen and the problem with Darklings could be averted because... no one would be around to tell them about Mel.

If that were true, Mel should just go, "Te'ijal, bite me." Problem solved.

Unless, of course, Gyendal calls up Mordred anyway and somehow Mordred has another way to get around that. I don't know. What-if plots are fun to fiddle around with.

LOL, the only "Opposites attract" (in the loosest sense of the phrase) that have worked out fine thus far is Te'ijal/Galahad and that's only because Te'ijal is Awesome and full of EPIC WIN. The other canon stuff are "similar people get together" or "not exactly similar, yet not opposites either" Ean/Iya, Rye/Emma, Gavin/Ava, Dameon/Rhen, etc.

@iPink: So? It's not like anyone would hunt me down in real life. If anyone actually does, they're the ones at fault, not me.

They may be awesome and powerful, but they're not at all important to the story. They're only important because Mel needs help surviving Demon Realm. If Mel didn't need to go to Demon realm to begin with, their role in the Darkthrop Prophecy mess would not exist. Plus, if they're THAT important to the world, I'm sure the Oracle would pull a Deus Ex Machina and make Mel be able to have babies regardless

@agas: but you said yourself that the orbs will do something to her. Therefore, they also went for life orb, which turns the vampires into human again, and so with mel if she were. Does the orb kill the undead? I assume not, since everyone woke up and even got stronger(Gy).

Mel being a vampire for only a while would be useless too, no?

I don't see it as forced. I mean Stella needed someone who could make her feel good, and Edward was suitable, since he was the one which revived her, let's do not forget. Why is it forced? It's like the old saying " people alike all gather together ".

Edward's Pairings: well, i just realized that something wrong with him and stella, though. How can it be a canon all of sudden? In TLO, if we're playing without the save file from GoN, edward marries the 'fake mel'. I mean, it was MEL, not STELLA! It means that the canon is edward and mel, does it not?
well, i'm okay with any pairing, but be constant al least. It's strange if we married edward with stella off and see that edward saying, "Finally we're going to marry," or stuff, but he was trying to mary mel back then..

It's quite a little thing here. If he marries Mel, Stella dies. If he marries Stella, she is revived, but he actually marries Mel in the other game. I didn't quite get it, but it's not forced, in my opinion. Maybe it's just that you don't like Stella?

Marrying mel instead of stella in TLO: no. I don't agree if you're saying that if player didn't choose stella at the first, then she'll just die. Like i said, just try to new game not using the last save in GoN. Stella's still there, unharmed. Nothing wrong. What's with that?! >

@kenneth: galahad was forced. Teijal threatened his soul, and promise to give it back if he marries her.

I mean forced by her, not forced by some allmighty-allknowing-looking-over-our-characters-and-putting-them-to-do-what-it-wants-entity in the game.

@shadowshed: No, I said if Mel "died", the orbs might actually blow up/disappear. If even the Orb of Life blew up, nothing would happen to anyone. Gy, Galahad, and Te'i would stay vampires, with a bonus newbie vampire Mel.

There would be no Nox to tell Mel that the Orb of Death exist because the Orb blew up, so TLO would not happen and Nox's existence may well be erased by Mel's turning into a vampire. So unless Gy summons Mr Big Bad ANYWAY and somehow Mr Big Bad has a backup plan, the prophecy could be thwarted within minutes.

Meh, on second thought the AV2 pairings are only half-canons because if we don't fill up the attraction points the pairings don't happen XD

Mel wedding in TLO: "default" does not mean "canon".
