I finished this delightful game (Aveyond #4) and I give it a 9.9 out of a 10.

Basically, there are two features of the game that keeps me from scoring a TEN ... and that is: 1)There was too much walking (I missed the teleporters) 2) Lack of funds (winning gold after defeating enemies) inhibited 100% enjoyment of the game because I could not advance further until I had enough gold to upgrade weapons, armor, etc., as well as I believe giving ZERO gold should be eliminated. I played it from beginning to end on "easy" mode and did not use any "goodies."

Other than what I have said above, this was a WONDERFUL game and it was a joy to play. The music was exceptional. I picked Edward to marry Stella and it was a nice ending to a great storyline.

Amanda and staff: Your games are the greatest! You have set the standard high ... and NO ONE can beat your family-friendly games!!

I shall be anxiously awaiting your next game.

no, in TLO's opening doesn't mention anything about stella's death. But i must had forgotten that she's saved, (my poor memory)

well, that might be true that mel turned out to be only a default.. She had some faith in edward, didn't she? In GoN especially mentioned her thoughts about edward's marriage.
canon pairing: But it's a bit strange, since edward and stella didn't have so much conversation besides of conquering quests. Even i could notice dameon and rhen, because they seen together alot, especially at their mansion in Sedona.

Pffft.... I know Ed/Stella doesn't make sense, but I don't care because I'm too happy that Ed/Mel is not canon.

The pairign making sense or not depends on who Edward's first bride is. If the original bride in GON/TLO is Stella, it wouldn't be such a big deal because it only meant that they got over the Lydia mess and got back together. If the original bride is NOT Stella, problem arises.

I do admit that the games seem to be hinting Ed/Mel a lot to the players. In fact, the pairing implication is shoved into my face so persistently that I HATED IT EVEN MORE!!! >___< And then it's not canon. It made me so happy that I don't care it doesn't make sense. Like all fangirls do, I'm overlooking problems that would mess up my happy land Plus, I'm a crack shipper who ships Mel with Gyendal. Who cares about Edward or Stella? So long as Edward doesn't marry Mel, which wouldn't happen ANYWAY in my happy-crackland, I don't give a hoot.

1) well, walking down a little bit isn't a big deal, right? The routes are easy and well navigated. The areas are actually smaller than AV1 to me. Plus, that's what that light boots come for.
2) heh, i found a great gold mine(it's my favorite place to gain exp, but also has some incomes,.) if you're having problem with the cash. It's at the east side of Ghed'are.

Quite a bunch of critics above the storyline, aren't we? Well, you complain about the marriages, but let's do not forget that some games have a loooooooooooooooooot worse storyline.

@shadowshed: "Satisfied"? Satisfied with what? I'm happy enough that Edward/Mel is not canon, if that's what you mean. I don't care about everything else.

Like I said, I'm a crack lover. I am a supporter of either Mel turning into a vampire or Mel becoming evil and Gyendal/Mel pairing. In order to make MY preferences happen, everything canon has to be tossed out the window regardless, so why should I care? I can be objective when I feel like being analytical and serious, but normally I'll just ignore everything that goes wrong and keep my rose-tinted crack-shipping glasses on

Anyways, you kind of pointed out one of the things that I hated about TDP. Nox and Uma were useless except to be totally awesome and likable. And TLO gave me such great hopes for Nox (and Uma when she was first introduced)...

It does not happen too often, sincerely, Shadow. from my experience, I can tell you that most games have good canon, not something weak and weird. And sincerely, this far, I can say that I am proud of Aveyond series, because it raised at higher standards than Final Fantasy games.

I'll admit the whole Ed/Stella being canon thing annoyed me. A little. I'm not a huge shipper- sure, I'll find weird little pairings and ship them until the end comes and they're non canon and I'll think, "ah. Whatever."

I've always sort of been half-and-half between Edward and Stella and Edward and Mel. In LoT I liked Edward and Stella together, then drifted over to Ed/Mel in GoN and TLO, and was so happy to have Stella back in TDP that I really didn't care. But it did annoy me that there were so many implications of Ed/Mel along the way- and the fact that it was the default in TLO, which steered it more towards canon. I mean, I'll agree that male lead falling for female lead is fairytale ish, but still, I'm all for fairytale as long as it's believable.

Oh well. I'm used to my favorite pairings being non-canon.

On the other hand, I am just so happy Ed/Mel is not canon that I just let the whole thing slide. The thing about Ed/Mel is that it's practically shoved into my face that I go all "AAAHHH! TAKE IT AWAY!!! DO NOT WANT!! D:<" in retaliation. That's why I don't like it.

Maybe the idea of the Ed/Stella is "implied interaction" during their journey to hunt for Mel... I mean, people who just jumped in at TDP would definitely choose Stella because Edward and Mel were hardly together at all. I know people would scream "that doesn't count" like we all did with Dameon/Rhen, but I am biased and I'm going to shut up now before I end up contradicting myself. The more I talk the more I confuse myself

I think implied interaction is pretty reasonable. It'd have been nice if there were some moments that Edward was starting to like Stella. The implied interaction is part of the reason why I think the Stella/Edward being canon isn't too far fetched.

But Mopiece! Like I said, the other fans don't like that! I can let that slide, but as we have already seen in the epic Lars VS Dameon debate, most fans want actual interaction. All Stella and Edward actually talked about are quest materials and not friendship or courtship stuff.

Yeah, true In canon Mel and Stella are both okay if Edward marries either of them, unlike Lars who openly expresses his dislike for Dameon.

It's sort of odd- back in GoN and LOT when Ed/Stella was seemingly non-canon, they had more interaction- and in TDP, they didn't have much interaction/ I really wish there would've been some sign of it, but there wasn't.

Oh well. I'll find some weird pairing to like. I supported Mel and Spook during TLO and started yelling "ALRIGHT, I DEMAND A REFUND!!!!" at the end. And then went and theorized and wanted a living Spook to show up in TDP. And I was really waiting for that, too.
