Well,Death Scroll is what I call "cheap tricks".I prefer it the old fashioned method.

I fought Gyendal more times than I can remember. I've replayed the final battle over and over because it feels good to see Grendal got defeated. I've only realized that I have a death scroll the third time I played TLO; but the first two times, I've fought him the "old fashioned way"...

Not bad. I never liked "cheap tricks" because they spoil all the fun of the battle.I'd rather carry on a hard battle,than just kick the wind out of it with a simple strike or an item.

I thought it is no longer possible to buy or use a Death Scroll in the final build?

Then it means I have one of the previous builds.I should update the build.And done!

Well,remember to pick up the weapons that will be around(the cave),have full HP to all of your characters and last have a plenty of tinctura hypericum,witcheye roots and cassia leafs.And btw my highest level player is level 55

Not in TLO. I used it on Gyendal and he dies in one hit.

Death Scrolls seldom miss unless it's being used on a Death Scroll-immune monster, like Gyendal in the final build. Which means agas has the earlier build.

Hey, we're talking TLO, right? In GON, I am aware that the Death Scrolls do NOT work on Gyendal, but we have dozens of them that we can buy in Ghed'ahre. In TLO, or at least in the one I have, we only get ONE Death Scroll, which is in a chest in Underfall. THAT one works on Gyendal. Gyendal is human in TLO, while in GON he's still a vampire. That might be they key difference. I remember that in the catacombs the monsters who could cast "Death" often missed when they try to hit Te'ijal and Galahad, while it's instant kill when they hit Mel or Edward or Lydia or Ulf. Maybe that's why this one Death scroll in TLO works on Gyendal. Because he's human.

When was the latest build released again? I know someone who got their version off Amaranthia. I want to check if they have the latest build and if the Death scroll worked on Gyendal in that.

Nope, the death scroll is guaranteed not to work at all against Gyendal in the latest build. As for the Death Scroll working thing, it worked flawlessly against the vampire thugs in GoN, so it's not a vampire thing that the death scroll didn't work. Most people inferred that it's more of a Gyendal being a really powerful mage thing.

Ah, I see. That totally guarantees you to have to buy the game coz then Gyendal won't die that easily and the 5 minute trial thing won't work

i only use these characters when i fought gyendal with out death scroll. It only need normal attacks to make him charmed and attack himself.

Ι got you the key to win him,go find around the cave(before you get into the cave to the orb,go right and look for it) the scorched sword.This sword can make Gyendal to be burned for every round,and lose 10000 points per round.Go find it,and help Edward to survive to that battle,because he will have that sword.

Just be sure to equip the berserk amulet on Edward if you're giving him the scorched sword. Otherwise he'll set US on fire
