Or just... take apart the scissors & put them together the other way so they're lefties.

(that would totally work. the fact that the edges would be like 2mm apart making the scissors useless is irrelevant. )

I never thought that there is a difference between the right hand scissors and the left hand

maybe cuz I don't use my left hand a lot

father and sis said that I am a left hander and I can control my left hand EXCEPT writing.

But in writing, I prefer right ^^

i use my left hand for writing. everything else, i do with my right hand.

Yeah, smudging your writing is always a problem. Whenever I had to write long essays, I would always put a small piece of paper under my left hand, so I wouldn't smudge my writing, as I moved along.


And don't get me started about trying to write on a white board...lol!

Ambidextrous. Prefer writing on the right, left for playing badminton. xP

fence, do archery, play tennis, etc, left-handed.

why? because i'm completely blind in my right eye, and in order to be able to aim, i need to be able to see. so anything that involves aiming, i do left-handed.

...which is problematic because i have much more control over my right wrist XD so needless to say, i'm not very good at fencing or tennis...especially tennis XD

I write right handed, but I do everything else left handed. LOL!

@IvanaDeRossi: Ambidextrous means you use both hands equally well so that means 1 of 3 things: freakin' genius, pretty average, or just lotsa practice with everything one could ever conceive of doing with either hand, with both hands.

("I pitch righty, bat lefty" is not ambidextrous. It's just indecisive)

I just realized, I don't think I've ever smudged my writing when writing left handed.

I hold my hand below the pen/pencil though, not to the left & top of it like most people say lefties should write.

I'm curious about one thing.

Has any of you tried to learn how to do things/write in your left hand (if you're a righty) and right hand (if you're a lefty)? And for what purpose? (Example, you can use your other hand if you got your arm/hand in an accident, just for the sake of being ambidextrous etc etc)

When I was little, I was forced to use my right hand in preschool. Until my mum scolded the teachers and I went back to my evil left handy ways lol.

Not forced: Scissors (for necessity sake), shaking hands (left hand = bad manners apparently), and just for fun sometimes.

My sis is a righty so we 'swap hands' so to speak and see how our writing is. Unsurprisingly, my right hand's way neater than my left since I have to go slow lol.

In writing, I don't see the point why people say it's messier to write in left hand. I mean, even if you use your right hand to write, your palm will still get smudged by the pencil -.-

...and yes, i have tried to write left handed XD it's intersting, to say the least. very messy. also, i've tried to use chopsticks left handed on a dare from my friend XD umm....not very successful. in fact, i couldn't even figure out how to hold them in my left hand. apparently it doesn't want to do that.

When righties write, the part of their hand that is resting on the table/paper is usually below the lines they are writing, so it doesn't smudge. Their hand is positioned pretty much perpendicular to the direction of writing (wrist not bent).

A typical lefty holds their hand bent (bent wrist), almost 90 degrees, so that the part resting on the paper will follow right along with the writing, thus smudging pencil and fresh ink.

So I guess Wolfie is special, even for a lefty, in that he keeps his left hand straight, like a righty.

*Note - lol, I just tried to write with my left hand straight, and my writing is going up at a 45 degree angle. I am destined to smudge.
