I noticed that since Shoal Lieu, there is equipment available that Ulf could use (axe, doublet), but he isn't in my party. Will he be in my party later, or am I missing somebody that could use an axe? Thanks.

I figured he would, but I was wondering why I could buy an axe for him at Shoal Lieu, when there is a better one (of course for more $) at Underfall. That's why I was thinking that I should have had him by the time I got to Shoal Lieu, since I've already been to both places.

I guess the axe at Shoal Lieu is kind of a teaser, to let you know Ulf might be joining you again.

Oh, wait, does the description of the axe at Shoal Lieu say it is Earth-Enhanced? If it does, it'll still be useful in later areas of the game. In TLO, it's good to hang on to all the weapons you get in the last few towns, since they all have unique powers/strengths.

Ah, that makes sense! Yeah, I got rid of a few (desperately needed $), and now I am seeing that that may not have been wise. Oh well!
