In the game I have, there is not the opcion to make a tractor. The pet seller in the first village (the poor one) don't say anything about a wheel, a belt or bucket. It's a bug or it's another version?

If you bought Grimm's Hatchery from another portal, it's probable that you may have an older version. In this case, just upgrade it.

Jaja, yes I click gossip, but he says something like he hope I back to the castle. Nothing about a tractor or a wheel, etc.

It sounds like you have an older version of the game - just after release.

Where did you buy it from, and how long ago? I'd imagine most places have the latest and greatest by now, so if you download from the same place again and reinstall, it might pick up the new things.

When GH was first released, it was only available from Amaranthia. After its release Amanda made a number of successive versions available, each time adjusting gameplay and adding or removing elements.

Some things I remember...

In the very early versions, collecting a black and white egg would kill ALL your pets! Now just SOME are killed. There was no tractor and there was no Petriwood. The thing you got when you negotiated with Hatir for a toad sword was the firebird.

I also don't think the original version had difficulty levels, and while you could save your games, you didn't have anywhere near the current level of information available in the save games window.

You also had 100 days to accumulate 100,000 gold, so it was a very easy game to play. There was also no bomber bird in Pemberly Keep.

It's very unlikely you'd be able to buy one of those original versions anywhere. Tarita, I'd be interested to know where you downloaded your game from, and how long ago? I wouldn't mind revisiting one of those earlier versions.

Then it must be a VERY early version. I have heard about 100 days of gameplay in some versions, lol.

it's a bit like Aveyond 2. Amanda releases her games here first for a few weeks, and if any major bugs are picked up that were missed by beta testers, or if the game needs any changes, she can do it in a controlled way, so by the time it gets released to portals there's just ONE version of the game around. Otherwise it's so hard when people come here for help and they could be playing any one of a number of different versions.

With AV2, there were two versions, but the original version was only available from Amaranthia, and from Big Fish for a short while. So we know if anybody downloaded the game from any other portal, they're playing version 2. Version 1 is no longer available to download, so the only people who would still have it would be people who bought it within the first month or two of its release.

I have played the first version and the second, but only keeping the second one as I deleted the first one when I finished playing it for 3 times. I like the story of version 1 more.

I still have the version I bought in January 2007 off the Amaranth Website. I finally finished the game yesterday, and sure did want that tractor but never could find any parts! Since I still have my registration key, I assume I could reload the later version and register using the same key, right?

yes. If you bought the game here originally, just download again, reinstall (it'll ask if you want to uninstall the current one - say yes). It should just find your registration code by itself, and not even ask you.
