A thread to discuss Vastar.

I have been enjoying this game. I wish that there were more coins to be had. It is difficult to accumulate enough to upgrade weapons and armour.I have not been able to open any of the colored chests. I found the copper wire for Danton but whenever I try to open a chest, he complains about his tools not being good enough. Can anyone help me with this?

Hey there. Glad you're enjoying the game! There are several ways to make money. The most common way is through the quests in Lanset. Talk to the guildmaster and look at the clipboard on his desk. When you kill certain types of enemies, they may drop items that can be traded in for money. You need to turn in items in bundles of 10.

Also, exploration has it's rewards. There are many places that have hidden item bags that contain lots of gold.

Also, you can sell items that you find that you may not need.

Danton can find his first set of tools in Ebonshire. Talk to the rogues with him in the lead and they will give him some tips (and possibly new tools). When Danton gets to higher levels, he will be able to get other tools.

How do I acquire ruby dust and Phosphorus for the prismatic storm and magic ball that I am suppose to use against Redwind? According to the map, the only way to those items is through Redwind.

Wow, thanks for spotting that. This obviously makes things confusing. I will need to do an addendum to the guide and move the chests so they are made accessible before Redwind. A new post with details will be coming soon.

Thanks Pandaba for the patch. Fixed location of phosporus and powdered silver. Managed to kill redwind using Julian's magic ball. Need much panacea
and many hp and ap restoratives. Still have to get past redwind to find ruby dust for prismatic storm.

Will update again and fix. Can't believe I missed that one too >_< Thank you for spotting. I would have not seen this problem if no one said anything.

I need a help..when 3 siblings are in a group the party is moving very slowly ..donno y this is happening

Installation instructions are included in the file.

You may need to enter a house in Winter Village (it doesn't matter which one) then exit the house again in order for the patch to take effect.

i have played it...the story is interesting...however the player walk too slow...maybe there is an error occur while downloading the file...

Hi, I've been playing for a couple of hrs or so and loving it so far. But now all of sudden, I'm experiencing the same problem of slow walk speed. I finished Xathia's and Danton's parts and just started with Julian but he's really dragging his feet. This was not the case with either Xathia nor Danton. Can you please fix this? Thanks!

The slow walk speed is occurring when you start Julian's chapter? or are you referring to the final chapter with all three characters at once?

It happens when I start Julian's chapter after finishing the other two.
*checks* But when I start a new game and select Julian, its fine. Please help, its quite frustrating!

Hi again, where can I find the mind flay scroll? I've found all the others. Also, need to know where's the diamond (needed for the magicball spell)? Thanks!

Mind Flay is found in the northern portion of the Eastern Vale area (the path is slightly hidden, so it can easily be missed if you're not looking carefully enough).

Diamond can be found in the West Mountain Path area.
