She doesn't dissapear when you go there. She dissappears when you go to Rillia and rejoins in sewers. (If you can find her. She's easy to find though.) If you talked to Baretta entered the tomb then go outside without Uzair's Cane Baretta will never join your party and You can't access Tomb again. If you finished and can't see her in the party press A to change party members. She should be available there.

Uh... I meant she disappears from the place you're supposed to meet her i.e. near Uzair's Tomb if you enter the Xen tribe village without talking to her there. Starbuster is saying that he/she never met Baretta as she's not by the tomb and so can't enter it. The question of rejoining doesn't even arise when she hasn't even joined the party yet.

As far as I know, there's no other way. You'll have to load an earlier save.

I can understand your frustration, something simliar had happened to me. I hope you're last save is quite recent. Some portions of Aldorlea games are irreversable, so remember to save often in different slots.

Hi -- I've been trying for quite awhile to avoid the guards on the way ti Rillia and can't seems to do it. I have the walkthrough on my other computer and it says to go to that little "island" for the Mandrake Root and some Beans and then to go to the start of the log bridge and then the screen shot shows Random standing on the bridge between the island and waterfall. Here it says I must go and then jump. I've tried this every way I can think of and he doesn't jump. Am I doing something wrong. Please help. Thank you. Gramma

Hi -- I've been around and around this swamp looking for this blond girl and can't find her. I've been to the tomb several times but she isn't there. Can you tell me where to find her so I can get on with this game. In the meantime I'll be looking for the last flower. Thanks. Gramma

Baretta can be found outside Uzair's Tomb in Xen Swamp. If you don't get her when you first reach this area and before getting to Xen itself, she's gone. IOW, you have to help her before you get to the second Lamia camp, otherwise she'll disappear.

I guess she's gone then, because I did get to the Lamia camp. I think, before I found her. Maybe I should just get on to Rillia. I hate to say this, but the maps in the walkthrough confuse me, so I did the swamp on my own. Is there another place I might find her? Is she necessary to win the game? Thanks Gramma

Nope, you can't find her anywhere else. Try going back to an earlier saved game.
And no, you don't need her to complete main quest but you'll miss quite a lot if you don't go back for her. It's upto you.
