Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well ^.^
Anyways, as the title suggests, I'm in search of some anime shows to watch. I'll give a few examples of what I've already seen to give a general idea of what kind of anime I like watching.
-Alice Academy (Gakuen Alice)
-Inu Yasha
-Chronicle of the Wings (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles or TRC) My favorite so far.
-Ghost Hunt
-Jigoku Shoujo (A few episodes but I really liked it)
-Princess Tutu
-UFO Baby
-Cardcaptor Sakura (Cardcaptors)
-Lucky Star (A few episodes but they were really enjoyable)

So basically, what I'm searching for is either horror/scary/thrilling animes involving a bit of romance (or not), and cute funny romantic animes(like Alice Academy), or even adventure romance (like TRC).
Kind of animes I DONT like :- Well, you know, there are some shows like Naruto, Detective Conan, or Sergeant Keroro. I don't like how the anime characters are drawn, and so I even lose interest in the main story.(Yeah, that's me lol)
So...any ideas and suggestions?

@ ktc - thanks, and yeah I have lol ^.^ But I'm lazy so I didn't wanna read through 69 pages of posts. But I know a few of the recommendations. Rozen Maiden, hack sign, blood+, ranma 1/2, hetalia, and others.
But I don't know what type of anime shows a few of those are, so I was hoping the examples in my first post might work ^^

1. Maid-sama!( Romantic comedy)
2. RomeoXJuliet. (Serious but a bit romantic)
3. La corda doro. (music and romance and HOT guys.)
4. K-On! (If you like simple but sweet shows.)
5. Stigma of the Wind. (Cute and advenure at the same time and funny too. )
6. Clannad. (I've yet to watch this one myself but from the fan vids I've seen the show is pretty good.)
7. Ouran High School Host Club.

~this is probably my fav romance anime. Things move very fast in it and it's really fun to watch.~

~it start as a reverse harem anime (that's why I begun to watch it lol) but it turned out to be more than that. It has very uniques story and a huge mistery. It's mainly a romance anime though~

* Pandora Hearts




~Do you like Alice in Wonderland? If you do, you must try this one. It's actually like a twisted, dark Alice in Wonderland story. It shows you the things about that fairytale from another point of view. It's full with mysteries and darkness..and of course it can get scary sometimes ~

* Nabari No Ou




~wow, there actually exists ninja anime that I'm fond of Even if you don't like ninja anime (like me) I'm sure you'll like this one. It actually has a deep story and it's not just fight, fight, fight~

* Nijuu Mensou no Musume (The Daughter of 20 Faces)




~still can't believe how underrated (actually it rates pretty good but not many people know it) this anime is. I think it'll be in my top 5 fav list forever. You actually will think that everything goes well but suddenly something happens and darn...everything goes back...and you'll find out that everything you knew just ..if you like a good mystery you'll love it.

~well if you like fighting anime with great story and characters and lots of dark feelings and mysteries attached to it, you'll enjoy D.Gray-man. I know it's a little longer but it's worthy ~

You've gotten some good recs here so I'll just add some more of my own xD

Vision of Escaflowne
An older anime so the art is more dated than what you might be used to. However, it's got a lot of what you like: adventure, romance, and action. It's a classic series.

Lovely Complex
A cute romantic comedy about a taller-than-average girl and a shorter-than-average guy. Really funny and an enjoyable watch.

Kobato.
A cute series by CLAMP. A fluffy, heartwarming type of series featuring a bumbling but cute and innocent girl trying to fulfill a wish by healing people's hearts. Reminiscent of Cardcaptor Sakura in style and atmosphere. Also has a bit of a crossover with another CLAMP series, Wish.

Fate/Stay Night
An action-romance kind of series. Although it's a few years old, I have to say the animation still holds up pretty well against that of series coming out today. I hate the main character, but Saber pretty much makes up for him >_>

Fruits Basket
A bit dated, as well, but it's still a very good series. It's both heartwarming and a tearjerker, so be prepared that way, but it's a good drama/romance with the occasional splashes of comedy.

Kimi ni Todoke
A romance series focusing on a girl who is always made fun of because she resembles Sadako from The Ring. I'm a bit hesitant to recommend it, only because I haven't finished it yet xD However, I've very good things about it.

Clannad's already been recommended but Ryo'll second that motion. Clannad was one of the most amazing animes Ryo's ever watched. It was incredibly funny but at the same time it brought Ryo to tears at some points. *cries from the beauty*



Clannad: After Story is the continuation of the series. Highly recommended! 8D


Haibane Renmei! Ryo's only 4 episodes in, but it's pretty good. It's so... calm... Nothing's really happened yet it's still interesting enough for Ryo to watch. o.o

Wow I started with Kini ni Todoke and I love it. Nice recommendation Aeternus It does have a bit different art but I love it. It's very pretty and easy to get used to it XD You should try it Val =)

A really good anime I watched was Bokurano. It has a really good plot, but the ending left me dissapointed. Still, it's quite good!

I quite enjoyed Alison & Lillia. It's got adventure, romance and it's a little funny. The first series of the anime centers around Allison, and in the second series Lillia comes along.

I've watched about 15 episodes of Fairy Tail, and I've enjoyed it so far. It's a cute anime about magic users.

@ meroko - nyah..I'm not interested in Manga at all. I find online reading really boring unless it's for a project, in which case I have to read my information. So I'm not looking for manga at all, but thanks ^.^
One more thing lol, didn't I mention that I hate Naruto and animes which resemble it in graphics?
*cries* I watched Kobato and LOVED it lol! A Syaoran with glasses and long hair tied up (Fujimoto) looks so cute that I'm now totally obsessed with him XD Not to mention the cuteness of the show was really touching ^^
Another series I still can't get over is Ghost Hunt. Waiting impatiently for the second season because I didn't like it how nothing about Gene was mentioned in the last episode T_T

Hmmm, you could try Elfen lied, it is horror (btw, don't watch it if you hate blood, cause there's blood or people dying in almost every episode) and it has a little bit of romance.

i've already watched la corda doro, and I agree that it's awesome As for blood+, I'm not quite sure. I'm looking on for more reverse harem. I've seen the following too so far :

3]A little snow fairy sugar
4]Night Wizard
5]Kyo kara maoh (goin on)
6]Tsubasa chronicles (all four seasons) I dint quite like how abruptly it ended, and the last two seasons were quite sad too. T_T
