Have you tried reducing the size in the code?
Where it says [img width=300] try placing a smaller number there and see if it resizes.

I have experienced that with some pictures. They refuse to be resized.
 The last thing you can do is take it to paint and resize it again and reload it.

Sometimes when you load your image to the photo hosting site you have a resize option that can be useful (especially the thumbnail size (150 pixels) and the web image size (320 pixels).

I remember this used to be a real problem a few years ago. A friend would leave you a gift : )
The thing was eventually you would get kinda annoyed that it would stretch your cottage heh... Unfortunately, sometimes those friend would never log in again so those well written pm's asking for removal would go to waste : c

Well, if you ever have trouble getting the original gift giver to fix the gifts, you can always get a mod to get in there and fix things.
