In my strategy, I'm SUPPOSED to run into stronger monsters. That's the whole point of fighting the strongest things I can!

I'm all about the battles-although I do appreciate when some of the monsters don't come back a second time when there's a map you seem to have to go through over and over and over!

well i wrk in steps.
step 1- level up to the highest or untill a certain enemy is useless.
step 2- upgrade equiptment.
step 3- same as step 1 except using stronger enemies.
step 4- leave area and repeat all steps in a new area.

Wait, I just realized that this thread isn't entirely Aveyond. Sorry, what I've been sayng only applies to RMXP/RMVX games. It's a different matter with different software. For instance, in Fate, I explore an entire level, then move on to the next. I don't fight like crazy.

Dodge and run at first, but later on got ANGRY, and start killing everything. Even going after the monsters to kill if running away, duh. XD

However in APv1 I have to level up a lot so I can learn Fairy Fury. Not an easy task.

Yeah, also in AV 2. And wait, "Fairy Fury"? Who, who in AV 1 learns that? *blinks blinks*

i am a daredevil and always try to kill enemy's 3 levels higher than me
i ussually play on hard mode

When I play expert mode (which I am an expert) I try to avoid tough monsters and I always upgrade equipment first before daring to touch them. If I do I better have an onterogue of supplies and various healing abilities.

Still underlevelling, still finished Final Fantasy VI at level 15

I hope think of a new strategy to try so I can share it.

I personally begin RPGs with KILL EVERYTHING until like I'm in the 6th town or so then it's all dodge and and then before every boss it's level when I can.. It's a strategy that keeps me in love with the game.. unlike in pokemon where dodging is usually quite difficult I begin to hate it's very existence by like the 6th gym lol

I do kill everything when I play Pirates of the Caribbean online.

I like to level up too. But, when I'm in a new area I also like to dodge and if there's a city around then I go straight to it - maybe have one fight to see how tough the enemy is - and upgrade my equipment, then go and level up and prepare money for the next area and so one...

Oh! In random battle games, I don't dodge and run. I try to kill as many monsters as possible while heading to my destination, sometimes backtracking and fighting until my party is exhausted and my inventory is insufficient. Then I hurry back, spam the escape option, and splurge on defence ONLY and rest and replenish my items...and then the same thing all over until I'm five or more levels higher and I get a hoard of gold to spend easily. (*READ: SAILOR MOON THE MOON CHILD*)

Before I find the goodies i dodge and run ) after i have the best equipment i KILL EVERYTHING ) =))
