I have auto dash turned on and the character is still moving soooo slow and jerky. Both on small and full screen. Any suggestions, or is this the way it's supposed to be?

It's happening to me too. The characters move at a deadeningly slow pace, the lag in walking is horrible. Pressing the Shift key doesn't work either >.<
Please help! ^^

The RMVX games work weirdly, some times its works fine in some system while it lags in even high end computers.

Any way, please check this out. Any one of them should help solve the problem.

Edit: I have three questions which might help me fix the problem if the above doesn't work-

1)Is the game lagging in all maps or only in specific maps?

2)Also which version of the game you are playing (v1.1 or higher)?

3)Is it the demo or the full version game you are playing?

I tried options 3, 4 and 5 but the game still lags T-T It's windows XP I use.
1)It seems to be lagging on all maps >.<
2)Its v1.1
3)Full version now. But I was playing the demo yesterday and it lagged there too T-T

None of the instructions given at the link you gave helped any at all. I've played about every RPG on here and have never had this happen. Even on the computer I had before I got this one. My computer is less then a year old. It's an HP and has Vista.

The character moves extremely slow and jerky everywhere, all the time. In full or small screen. Autodash doesn't change it. Holding shift down doesn't help.

I'm playing the demo. I played about 20 minutes and it's so frustrating I quit playing and came to see if it could be fixed before I buy it. Thanks for your help.

Hmm....Earlier I was using one antilag script, now I've added another. So double antilag scripts should reduce the screen flickering to great extent. However, there are two things I'd like to point out in general-

1) Since this script is a new addition, it has not been tested. Though I'm doing my best to ensure that it works properly, it 'might' throw up one or two bugs (chances are 1% to 5%).

2) Older computers still might face the screen lag as rmvx tends to not perform well in computers below it's system requirements.

Now that I've updated the new script, I'll run a short play test on all the maps to ensure that the new script doesn't conflict with anything else, thus eliminating chances of getting bugs.

Give me some time, I'll update you with the game patches (both for the demo and full version).



I thought of doing a thorough check using the new program script so that it doesn't cause any problem. So instead of 'some time', I'd request a couple of hours so that the outcome is bug free

Just updated the new patch. Please read the instructions in this topic carefully before updating the patch.

To see the effect, you need to restart the game as I introduced a new program script. Loading from an old save will cause the game to crash.

The reason I'm linking to my forum is because it's easier to update and keep track of the stuff from one place. Please let me know whether it fixes the issue or not.

I used the patch and it did stop the chopiness , but movement of the character remains so very slow. Using autodash has no effect nor does holding shift down. I find myself unconsciously pressing as hard as I can on the arrow keys, thinking it will make him move more quickly. lol

I love everything about this game but the slow movement of the character which makes playing frustrating rather then fun.

Glad that it worked. But....I checked the autodash, it's working fine?

I really don't know why it is not working for you....can you remove the game completely, download and reinstall the new version of the demo afresh?

Edit: And start the game afresh to see if things work fine or not.

I don't know why it doesn't work either. I did start a new game after the patch. When it was still so slow I uninstalled it and downloaded the new version and installed it.

Must be something wrong with my computer since it's working well for others, and I'm not computer savvy enough to know what to do.

But I'd been happier if you could play it the way it is supposed to work...*sigh*...dunno where the problem lies....it worked fine for me and my testers

edit- it could be the shift key also if you are using shift to move fast. try using the other shift key of your keyboard to see if it works or not.(though even then autodash from the menu was supposed to work )

I introduces the new script, but the lag is still there >.< I dunno what's wrong..even with the shift key, the lag doesn't go. The character keeps moving in slow motion T-T

*sigh* I wish I knew why it is happening in your system , because most players can play it normally.

Hi friends, I fixed a couple of crash bugs and minor stuff in the game. So those of you who might have experienced game crashes, can redownload the demo to replay the better version or get the bug fixed patches instead from our forum (link given in my earlier post).

I just did another update to reduce the screen flickering. Players who had been experiencing the problem can get the new patch (ver 2.0) to see if that solves the issue. And do let me know about it.

By the way, the demo and the full version of the game are two separate files, so do not download the demo to bug fix the game. Get the patch from the forum topic I gave above and follow the instructions there to use it.
