Actually, advertising is quite often counter-productive. People are likely to become sick of or dislike a commercial, and therefore may not use the product.
 It's shameless, too, so my name for it is just as accurate.

In a very indirect way. I named Castle Magyk after my game, but named my game after Septimus Heap, Book 1.
