On that note, I have stopped caring that much about MD once I won second place in that contest. Not because I'm a bitter loser - or maybe I am, but hear me out here.

If I had won second place and the first place winners did better, I would have accepted it. BUT, those first place winners are all people who had Mary Sue stories as their entries. The kind of badfic Mary Sues with out-of-place Japanese names and horrible childhood and abusive parents and ALL the most cliche of Mary Sue cliches ever.

I'm so angry because I honestly thought the Mary Sue thing is a joke. That's why I tried my best to make a realistic story with realistic reactions. After all, OUR in-game Mary Sue's discovery was not all that fancy schmancy. She just flew over a very tall fence. But nope, the Hanako team really did love their Mary Sues and thus the winners of the contest are the Mary Sues *fumes with hatred*
