yeah right sorry shaz, as i said - the animal control is really bad... Oh and they drop the animals anywhere 10km from the area ... No ... He is actually a really bad man he was caught being bad to a woman ... (i don't wanna use that word....) so ... I suppose he is really mean to do such things ....

He is mean though I still think dogs are a menace most of the time especially near businesses. They scare away many potential clients

I don't get your reasoning for a baker to only handle baking when he's perfectly capable to handle a potential dog problem, albeit in an extreme fashion.

Also, you keep saying there are so many ways to handle the problem. Last I check, throwing rocks (from your first couple of posts) could be considered inhumane and unclean since you're picking up dirty rocks and throwing it at an animal.

What ways are you suggesting would be more humane and effective?

It's been repeated and it will be again: Shouting and making scary moves to drive the dog away. Would that be too difficult?

Kicking a dog isn't that bad. It depends on the force you use. If you use enough force to break bones, then yes it's cruel. If you use enough to just scare the dog away, then it's not that bad.

Other ways to scare the dog? If yelling won't scare the dog, then there aren't many other ways. You can try throwing rocks near the dog, or maybe squirting the dog with a water hose. But those may not necessarily work.

^ There are about 10% chances for shouting, making scary moves, or sprinkling the dog with water to don't work. Stones? Kicks? Ugh, this reminds me of one of MJ's songs...

Do you know how stubborn stray dogs are in the sub-continent? They CAN only be shouted away 10% of the time. The rest of the 90%, you have to kick them away or get them killed if they bite

First of all, KTC, I think there are many ways to shoo the dog like, Yelling and Putting the hand up in the air as if he is gonna slap, Putting water - Puppies are scared,Stones - I'm NOT saying throw them at the dog I'm saying THROW THEM NEAR THE DOG/PUPPY and the last way is - Bringing out some stick or a rod and put it up in the air as if you are gonna hit BUT JUST Don't HIT!

See? Here are soo many ways! And if none of them work try to bring out a lighter and light it - Dogs are scared if they see fire...

Oh and If Lucky wants he wakes me up at 12 in the night, and tries playing with me thats when I get angry .. I yell at him .. and he quietly creeps down my bed, He's really attached to me... (he's a stray dog adopted by me - see? he's scared of me yelling ... Yeah but the point is I'm REALLY GOOD AT YELLING! )

So I don't think even if he was scared KICKING was nice .. It was horrible ... Even if i'm really Angry with him ... I WILL NEVER KICK ... AT the most i slap him ... But after that he keep's eyeing me to I have to say sorry, Then he won't forgive me ... So I NEVER WILL KICK HIM, And i just can't bear cruelty! Just like to point out that just because some dogs are scared of yelling/threats doesn't mean all dogs are. And when I say 'dogs', I am including puppies. For example, many times when we yell at my dog, he just looks at us like 'So? You're yelling. Big deal.' He has done this since he was a puppy. Perhaps that was the type of dog the baker was used to.

Or, perhaps the baker was scared of dogs. If you are scared of something, you don't really think of what would be 'right', just what you know will work. I mean, kicking a dog is usually a very effective to get rid of it. I'm not saying it is right, I'm just saying it usually works.

Maybe it makes me sound 'bad', but I know if I am scared of something, I will do what is the fastest, most effective way to get rid of what scares me.

sorry but... even if some dogs aren't scared ... doesn't mean all aren't scared oh and... the baker had a really bold look on his face just like - he wasn't scared... i don't understanding why did he had to kick when he wasn't scared ? i hate cruelty i'm afraid of honeybees in my skool there are soo many honeybees, i just stand there and they don't do anything ..... don't show you're scared and nothing will happen .. in my skool there are street dogs so when the other people see them they just put their hand up as if they will hit but they don't do it... i mean you just can't kick dogs like that they can't talk doesn't mean they don't feel hurtful and bad ... they are living beings after all ....

no... i don't mean that i mean ... I'M TELLING YOU THIS HE WASN'T SCARED...

it wasn't any emotion like ... 'i'm not scared of that puppy, i'll show people this' it was a look which said - "bah! a dog, how aggravating .." see? he wasn't scared i'm 101% sure .... :|

yelling at a dog won't necessarily work. Also, it might disturb the customers.

waterhose = complicated as you need to get the hose, attach it to a water source, shoot the dog and hope you don't hit anyone.

rocks = three words: aiming and customers. you do not want to whack your customer by accident.

sticks = are there sticks around there? And going in = leaving potential animal problem around customers.

fire = a tiny lighter fire isn't a natural fear of dogs last I check.

As I see it, none of these methods will absolutely work to get rid of a dog.
