Seriously, no, that wouldn't be great because there are also guild members who aren't testing, and discussing the game in front of them would be little different to discussing it out in the open.

There WAS a "general feedback/impressions" thread started by Aisling in Mantis where you could chat as much as you like, not worrying about revealing spoilers.

@Ashen: At least try Gypsy's Tale. I'm not huge on hidden object games either, but I loved that game. It had less of the hidden-object-y-ness and more of the puzzle-solving-goodness. And it was just plain amazing. *shrug* I think you should give it a try. I think that you should give this new one a try as well, although, like I said before, it's more traditional.

@Ashen: Well, what exactly don't you like about Hidden Objects? Those "find these junk in the list we gave you among a big pile of more junk" scenes? If that is so, then it should be fine for you. Amaranth's HO games don't have too many of that useless HO scenes.

Yeah, finding random junk in a pile of junk has never been my thing... I didn't really like seek-n-finds as a kid either, so...

But, if you both say I should try it, I'll give it a shot. The worst that can happen is I don't like it, right? (Actually, I suppose the worst that can happen is I will like it, but won't be able to get it because I'm broke. XD)

Too bad you missed that one day promo where you can buy Gypsy's Tale for just $3... LOL, so sad. Maybe BigFish will give more awesome discounts.

@theone: At least it's not as bad as $7 Plus, it depends on what exactly is "broke". I call myself broke even if I still have about 5 bucks on me.

Well, I have the money, but I'm supposed to be saving up for Christmas and my Zelda pre-order. And paying bills. I guess those are important. XD

As for the game... I liked it better than I thought I would. But I'm not sure that it's something I would pick out. Personally, I would have liked even more puzzles, and less finding things. I still might buy it though- even though I don't like finding stuff, I did like the rest of it. It wasn't as Hidden-Object-y as I feared it would be. It almost reminded me of the Nancy Drew computer games.

Anyway... The new game is more of a traditional HO, right?

The new game does have more of the traditional "find stuff in a pile of other stuff" scenes, but not a ton. It's still much more of the Gypsy's Tale style puzzliness.

@ashen: there's about 3-4 "look for stuff in a pile of junk" scenes, but the rest is Gypsy's Tale kind of HO.

Now its almost September end...when is the Curse of twilight expected!!??

Beta testing has been more complicated than foreseen, esp since CAT1 will be released for Mac as well as several languages. We're trying to get it released as quickly as possible, so please bear with us.

You will notice that the release date has been updated. Something very exciting happened very recently (we're not allowed to tell you - Amanda will give all the details when she's ready) that has pushed the release date back.

If you know what this is (for those few who have already received the email) please don't say anything until Amanda says it's time
