I mainly need to know how to have a scene at the beginning of the game. Like the way the screen changed for the start of Aveyond 2: Ean's Quest
******* Edited The starting of the game: How would I: 1. Have the world map plunged into darkness (fog?) 2. A light flash across the sky and disappear in the 'fog' 3. Have it then go to a mountain with npcs (druids) talking. (Cut scene?) Just some tips about if I can do it with the event commands or look up online.

1. either use a very dense fog, or change scroon color (both events)
2 i think you would need a new sprite for that; maybee a screen shake and screen flash will do? (events) hope this helps ^^

3. Use transfer player event to go the map with the druids, make sure that there's no player active.

Thanks. I'm still kind of confused.
I think I know how to do the first scene (with the fog and flashing light) But Should I make the world map first or find how to transfer to the druid map? How big should my World map be? I've gotten a world map tileset but I don't know about big the world should be.

I don't think it really matters in which order you map...
As for how big: depends on how many cities and such you're planning to add.

Big world map = longer travel time = more random encounters = a wayyyy longer game

Oh if you don't want your charater to sneek into the cutscene or where it doesn't belong create a blank charater set to use then havee the grapic change after the cut scene. It will minimize distractions. Trust me this works.

Would the blank character have to be where it will appear after the cut scene? Because I was thinking to have it start on a different map from the 2 other beginning maps.

You can start a new game with the initial party without characters. Then, when the cutscene will end you can add the first party member.

@binas and Iya: There are other ways. Just go to the Database and clean the box that says 'Initial Party'. (Note, this is the same as Juunagou said

Okay Thanks.
When I said cutscene. The druid part would probably just be the npc character's in the mountains speaking. Instead of actual pictures. I'll try that.
