Why doesn't the game have a quest list in the game?

this looks like a great game and actually works in XP but 2 maps were left out of the demo.
the error message I got when trying to go into the 2 towers was:unable to find data/map230.rvdata and unable to find data/map229.rvdata. Thats in the demo, I wonder if the actual game has that problem?

I have gotten to the desert town of Oasis and completed everything I can find. How do I leave the island to advance the story?

LOL I did the same thing with checking out the two towers in the demo and got the same error, but the full game has them active.

As for leaving the island Oasis? You'll need a certain Pirate Captain you meet at one of the Tribes before you complete getting your 2 friends. Once you finally get Marcus, the pirate will tell comment about going to the ship. Meet him at the town you found him and he'll be outside that hut waiting. (Also make sure you have the 1.1 ver)

I have a quick question cause no quest log...how many shards am I looking for? 8 parts?

Also, I'm at Oasis and I have Marcus, but I can't find any pirate captain.

FOUND IT! On the right (east) side of the island of Oasis, there's a place I didn't see. It's sort of hidden I think, just north of the line of trees.

EDIT: Nope. I found the end of the tunnel, killed a djinn, got a necklace nobody can equip, finished and left the tunnel, and ran through all the towns and spoke to everyone again but nothing's changed.

I was enjoying this game but I am not happy with how buggy it is. The creator sent me a link for 1.1 because Jean does not appear in the first version and so there is no way to get off the island. I went to the area where he is supposed to be but he is never there. I downloaded the new version and now all my save files are gone! I already restarted the game several times due to buggy issues and I am not happy if I have to restart again.

Edit-I was able to restore my save files.

Pirate is at Billie's Tribe: go right one screen, right shack. I got Marcus last while I had Jean in the party. (wanted to save the $ so did the job)and as soon as Marcus appeared, Jean will comment about going to the boat. Go find him where you met him, but he'll be waiting near the fisherman instead of the shack.

and they did correct it, that the demo should be working just as good as the game and now it is thanks to the one who fixed it. Would you buy something from a store that wasnt working well??
What if you went to buy a car andthere were parts missing. Then someone comes along saying. "I tried it too but when I bought it it worked fine"
thats just an example. The people who made the game and put it out are good people and they understand. I will buy it but I just have to wait to get a lil more money

I'm kinda stuck in the Lost Forest, I can't make heads or tails of the riddle and I think it contains the secret to the combination lock in the building at the bottom of the map...

Have you visited all the other doorways? Think there's was a button in one of them. As for the riddle about seeking fortune and cracked earth or floors? If you touch chests...LOL you'll find out real fast! I'd still suggest checking in all the doors. When you see a cracked floor, stand on it.

lol, I didnt find this game till after i paid all my bills and did needed monthly buying so I have to wait till next month

I figured out the number combination (Easy as...)

Now, I'm on the quest to deliver a letter to the head of the academy in Xile, but I can't find him. I've been all over the first floor of the academy. When I try to go to the second floor, the guard says I'm not one of his students and makes be go back...

Oh...I may have missed that one LOL

I got the student (in that main room on the left in front of bookcases) about courting the maid at the castle. (she's the one where you find Jean trying to check out the wine while waiting for dinner. LOL

When I talk to Filip at the academy, he just wonders if any if the books have dating advice.

When I talk to Neda at the castle, she just tells me to tell him to come see her and that she'll ask him out if he's too scared to ask her out. I must be missing something...

Did you go buy a *teddy bear* from the shop in the town to the left of the castle? That may be what you need to trigger the quest.
