Gyendal and Mel fluffs. Yay.

Just thought I should get these out there. See if you can recognize everybody. And Lars VIII is not in the picture, just in case people are wondering.

Faces are rather wonky because they're done in about 5 minutes each. Coloured in about 15 minutes each. And these are old. I still kinda suck at drawing 2 years ago.






It still boggles me how I managed to draw Nox look eeriely like Gyendal. It's either that "Only Six Faces" syndrome because I fail at drawing forever or something else.

All the handicrafts I made and stuff.

It's no secret that I really REALLY did not like the original title cover for The Darkthrop Prophecy. So I made my own stuff to make myself happy. I made the Gyendal one partly as a celebration picture to celebrate TDP's release. Then I made the Yemite one for the lulz.

Then I just made alternate covers for various other AVs for the lulz.

It began with an attempt to paint a very pretty Gyendal. It somehow ended up being a faux magazine cover. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

Gyendal has in-game fangirls. His fangirls now has spilled over to real life. I think. If my facebook page was any proof of anything.

So. I try to make comics/doujinshi sometimes. I generally find myself unable to lay out the panels, get frustrated, then ignore the comic for a very long time.

The "Shut Up" one may or may not be continued. The rest are just "sampler" pages.

So. A portrait of Gyendal way back before he went psycho. Well, not as psycho as he is in AV3 anyway, because everyone in the Ravenfoot family are generally not quite right in the head. See Te'ijal and what is her idea of "romantic". I like to think that they're already whacko from the beginning, and being vampires only made it worse.

Vamps don't seem to remember their human life if they're old enough, but I think if there's a proper trigger they would remember something. Happens to me a lot. I see something, then I would feel something and I'd know so and so feeling is associated with a person or another thing, but couldn't remember anything else. Drives me nuts.

So. Drawing itself? This was supposed to be a picture of Gyendal being creepy. I saw this music video of Japanese band Buck Tick and Atsushi Sakurai the singer totally looks like the way I imagine Gyendal would look like coz he's all gaunt and creepy. So I suddenly felt like drawing creepy Gyendal. I don't know how he turned out looking pretty instead. DAMMIT Y U SO HOT GYENDAL????? I wasn't even trying to make you look pretty!!!

Tried to make paper look moldy and dirty. Sorry if picture becomes unclear because of it.

A Te'ijal to go with the Gyendal in previous post. In-universe story, Mitra Darkthrop did the Gy drawing and this Te'i one too. He is BFFs with both siblings, so Te'ijal also gets a drawing, though not as fancy schmancy like Gy's Birthday gift sketch in previous post.




I hate her hair, yanno? I need someone to wear their hair like that and model for me Or maybe I can dig up my sculpey clay and model Te'ijal's head... Hmmm...

More serious note, I'm not sure why you think so. I don't see anything wrong with her eyes. Maybe they look sorta half-closed, and if that's what YOU count as derpface... Well, okay...

i think so bcoz one of her eyes is in the center and the other one (the right one) is in a corner.
and I am talking about the Galahad-Tei'jal chocolate cover.

I was being sarcastic. I know it's the chocolate picture. Anywho. I drew Galahad's eyes also like that and I don't see you complaining. Checked the picture dozens times over and I still don't see how it look weird, so deal with it.

I kinda see where soumyakhanna is coming from. With Galahad's eyes, you can see white on both sides of his irises. With Te'ijal's left eye, there is no white on the left edge, so it makes it look like her left eye is way over to the left. (this is all HER left) It's very subtle.

Te'ijal does too have eye whites showing on both eyes. It's Galahad whose left eye is a bit iffy.

Anyways. I think I sort of get the issue. It's not her eyes, it's her nose. the nose is on a weird angle that makes it look flat. A bit too late to change now. Deal with it anyway.

Did you know that shrinking sometimes makes things disappear? See Te'ijal's eye in the original size:


See how the eye white IS there. However, even at full size the nose still looks wrong, so the conclusion is that the nose IS the problem. I drew the nose wrong, and it made the eye look weird. The eye itself is not a problem. Your argument is invalid.

Also, I repeat: IT'S TOO LATE TO CHANGE.

Doodle design of Dameon's "evil" father. Well, you know how D_A's bizarro universe works. Things just roll in weird directions.




Considering Dameon looks nothing like Talia, I assumed he took after his dad a lot, so Ta-dah! At some point the Sun Guardian used to be a war leader. That's why he made himself look scary (top picture). The more nice-looking is him after the hectic war is over. Being Sun Guardian means just sitting around doing nothing (like the rest of the druids), so... no point in being scary. Also, I don't think Talia would've liked him very much if he stayed looking scary like that.

Pointless trivia: He was the one who designed and made Agas' armour (see half of it here). With Nanghaithya and Saurva's help for the metalworking. Hence the weird Sun design on the armour. Why is the Sun druid working with the daevas? Well, it's related with why the dude was in cahoots with Ahriman. Explanations some other time. D_A's bizarro universe is too long to retell.

I remember my first reaction when I found out that Jecht is Tidus' dad in FF X: "HOW THE HECK DID THAT MANLY-BEEFCAKE-JACK-SPARROW-LOOKALIKE OSSAN SPAWN SUCH A FRUITY LITTLE SQUIRT LIKE TIDUS???"

Fast forward a year or so and look what I've done:




Saurva is big and very bulky. Probably almost as bad, if not worse than a body-builder. Agas is... well, not exactly flimsy, but still considerably slender compared to Saurva. The only thing Agas takes after his dad is his eyes and eyebrows. Oh, and also a... certain ability which is not "make women swoon".

Well, Agas is less fruity NOW. He used to be fruitier a few months ago (see the painting of Agas wearing a fur cloak in the first page of this thread). If anything, Saurva's favourite face is fruitier than Agas is, but maybe that's just me. Which is more girly, this guy or this guy?
