I'd prefer normal looking characters as far as that goes. But do have to say AV 2 was my most favorite; if LoT and GoN were one story that would otherwise be my favorite i believe.
One feature I hope that stays the same is the status/options bar that was on the bottom of the screen.

As in the art style, Digory? To that, I will vehemently disagree.

I very much dislike the faceset art of AV2 and The the facesets of AV3's main chars (Mel, Eddie, Stella). Lydia I give slack because while she was drawn by the same artist as the other three, she fits the poofy head look very well. Mel, Eddie, and Stella do not.

I still vote Kirroha as faceset artist. Or have some kind of faceset audition for Amaranthian artists. That would be kinda cool. Like, I know I would be super happy if I can get to draw the facesets. Or the title cover.

If not, if Amanda can book Saehral before anyone else makes a grab at her time schedule it would be super awesome too. Saehral was the one who did Uma, Nox, and Yemite and DANG those three were the best AV3 facesets of all. TLO's artist draws girls really weird and only Spook had been okay-looking.

Okay, I love ALL the Aveyond series. (And it's art.) Plus I thought that it was hinted at that these twins were the children of Mel? Time jumping.

I had Mel marry Edward. Stella had her own duty to her own Land. And she could meet one of her own kind to marry. (Winged man)

Imagination knows no bounds after all. And Amanda has a great imagination as well as the ability to put it down on paper and then make it a game.
By the way many women have children at 18 and 19.
They marry young and start their families young. So Mel could be under 40 in the next aveyond game. If she is there.
I'm looking forward to Aveyond 4.

Please let MelxEdward be the canon pairing! Please! I always thought that was going to be the plot twist at the end, since if Mel married Edward, then she does end up ruling part of the world, and thus, the prophecy is fulfilled. See? The Darkthrop Prophecy implies that MelxEdward is canon!

Nox and Uma are awesome (regardless of who their father is) and I'm looking forward to playing another game about them!

Well yeah, I'm also a fan of MelxEdward pair, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

BTW, can't we have something like Iya's magic spheres or something? Like those magic books that we bought for Lydia in GoN? Because, seriously, I can't have a Aveyond game without magic. I also liked Rhen's magic spells that she had when equipped with a magic sword. But I hated the fact that all the spells went poof! when you unequipped it...

av 4 should have more and new monsters!

I'm all for a non-magic hero this time round. AV3 suddenly gave Mel magic, so that didn't count. That's cheating. I want a totally non-magic hero. Kinda like Galahad. And no "magic mana weapons" like Eddie's sword in TDP either. Just a straight out non-magical person The character will have "technical points" or something instead, and their skills are all physical skills (throwing swords, boomerang, co-op attack, feints, etc).

there should also be new weapons like whip, mace, crossbows etc. with skills.(strangle with whip for example)

@soumyakhanna just a note that in AV1 Elini was whips and somewhere along AV's Tei'jal had a crossbow. Although I don't think I've ever seen a full on mace; axes but no maces.

there should be 'new' weapons..........thats why the mace.....

@Diggory: Shape-shifting is still magic, duh. Plus, Ean got some weird abilities he can use while in certain creature forms like firebreath or something. That = magic. So yeah, Ean's skills don't count as "absolutely non magic"

@Soumya: What kind of weapon the character wields ain't going to make any difference unless the new Aveyond is programmed to show what kind of weapons is being equipped while fighting. Some RMVX games can do that. In battle if you have an axe, the character will be holding an axe. If you have a freaking umbrella equipped as weapon, then the person will be holding an umbrella. If the weapon's not showing there's no real point in adding new weapons if all that changes is the amount of damage it causes.

Like in AV1, Galahad can equip an axe or a sword. The only difference would be the attack power and the "attack animation". If I didn't know what was equipped, I wouldn't be able to tell if he had an axe or a sword.
