Aaahhhh, I can just SEE all our beta testers from previous games facepalming right now

Skipping alpha/beta testing will not give you a game with "some little glitches and/or bugs". There will be very many, and you will very likely not be able to complete the game.

With the last few Aveyond games, when I was alpha testing, I would play the game for an hour, and I'd have a list of 30-40 things that had to be fixed. When we did beta testing, on several occasions, testers reported problems that prevented them from going further in the game. It was not uncommon for testers to report dozens of bugs a day after we thought we got rid of them all during alpha

Just look at some of the games from new developers, and see what players say. They are NOT happy to pay for a game that has bugs. We would never ask you to buy one of our games unless we had done as much as possible to make it bug-free.

There usually are a few bugs remaining in the games when they're released - sneaky little ones that get past us AND the testers. Usually these are minor, but sometimes they're very serious (I recall a bug that let you fight Mel WAY too early in TDP, when you were nowhere near prepared, and you missed half the game).

Trust me ... you do not want to play one of our games before it's been through beta testing

Because it's been stated multiple times in this thread that the earliest it will come out is sometime in 2013.

@Beginners- I remember that when we beta tested Curse at Twilight, we did the 48th version, if I'm correct. Think about it, 47 tests before then. In the end, I'm sure we ended up with 12 pages of bug reports (shaz can confirm). If there were no beta, you'd have to endure all that. Not to mention that if the 47 preceding versions hadn't happened, the game might not even work

Curse at Twilight had just over 500 bugs reported after we finished alpha testing. RPGs are much more involved. The Darkthrop Prophecy had almost 1000 bug reports

yea. I remember there was one Medusa bug too which caused problems. I've played a few new games from new new developers and I'm not too happy lol. Maybe cuz I betatested before so I found a lot of bugs. :/

I played new games so I could wait for the new ones by Amanda(they are ALWAYS several classes apart .

But yea, its better to play a bug free game haha. And suppose there's a bug in Build B, and shaz fixes it, that fix brings on a new bug in Build C.

Oh, yes. Games are usually a bug-fest unless they're handled properly. Even after the aforementioned hundreds and even thousands of bug reports in alpha and beta test, there are still chances that the final release of the game have bugs and glitches (which is why we have the technical support forums here).

There's one for sure that Te'ijal & Galahad will be seen in AV4, since they POOF! appeared in every single AV games, isn't it? haha.

I wonder, will they be playable characters or NPCs?

Amanda said Uma and Nox are the only characters to return from a previous series. I take that to mean Te'ijal and Galahad won't be there at all, as PCs OR NPCs.

And I assume Uma and Nox will be PCs.

Hey, Ghed'ahre is probably not small. Let's say Galahad and Te'ijal lives in the Western area of the town. Our heroes may only have access to the Eastern area. Then we won't meet Te'i and Gal.
