(Because the Collegium will be phased out, I'm moving it here)
This story is a gift for An. Characters included come from: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty (ballet), The Swan Lake (ballet), Rapunzel, The Wizard of Oz, Thumbling, The Twelve Dancing Princesses and Amaranthia. :3 Part 1: The Commission It was a dreadfully normal day. Cinderella had cleaned her bedroom and had gardened together with her animal friends. She was busy taking the weed out, when all of a sudden the bell rang. She jumped to her feet and started running, losing her shoe on the way. “Welcome to Cinderelly’s Lost Shoe Help Desk. How can we help you?” the mice chimed as Cinderella appeared inside the office. She looked up at the customer and saw a young girl, who introduced herself as An. “Please help me, I lost one of my shoes,” she said eyeing the mice suspiciously. “Can you describe the victim?” said a mouse dressed as a detective. The girl looked at the mouse ridiculously. “Well duh, I’m the victim.” At this, Cinderella sat down at the desk and took quill and paper, while saying: “He meant the shoe. Could you please describe the missing shoe?” She looked up at An. “Well…,” An started and sat down as well, “it’s a golden ballet shoe.” “Completely golden?” the detective mouse inquired. “No, the laces are black,” An said. When Cinderella had finished her questions (“Where did you lose it? When did it happen? Do you suspect anyone?”), it was already late, so Cinderella called her Fairy God Mother to take An home, but she was unfortunately unavailable at that moment. Seeing no other option, she called the Fairy Caps Company. A few seconds later, a red faerie listening to the name Matria appeared in the room. Eea took An home and billed her a large fine. Apparently they got into an argument, after which they allied themselves as bro and sis, but that’s a story for another time. An had named no suspects, but Cinderella knew three possible thieves. Since it wasn’t a slipper or at least something red, Dorothy was off the list. And Little Thumbling wasn’t into girl shoes (unless Cindy had missed some new gossip, but she highly doubted it). So that narrowed out the two biggest shoe thieves. Who would ever even steal a ballet shoe? Cinderella thought, when all of a sudden: “I know it!” The mice looked at her confused and she explained that only a ballet dancer would steal ballet shoes. “Of course!” they chimed. “Then,” said the detective mouse, “I know our prime suspect. It’s…. To be continued~

Part 2: The Usual Suspects
Who would ever even steal a ballet shoe? Cinderella thought, when all of a sudden: “I know it!” The mice looked at her confused and she explained that only a ballet dancer would steal ballet shoes. “Of course!” they chimed. “Then,” said the detective mouse, “I know our prime suspect. It’s…. There blew a cold wind at the lake and Cinderella wished she had worn a thicker jacket. The mice too seemed to freeze, but none of them complained. They were here for a reason after all. “Alright mice, whatever you say, don’t say a word about prince Siegfried, promise me?” Cinderella whispered to her mice friends. They nodded in unison and stared at the lake. A horde of swans had appeared on the lake. “Are they here?” asked a female mouse. Cinderella peered at the swans in the distance. “I think so… yes! I see them at the back. ODETTE! ODILE!” Two swans came swimming at full speed towards Cinderella. One of them was white and had the longest neck. There was a little yellow spot above her head, which resembled a crown. The other swan was black and had the most beautiful feathers. She had red devilish eyes. The mice backed away, when they saw the look in the black swan’s eyes. “Good morning, girls. How fare thee?” Cinderella smiled. “Good, thank you. And thee?” asked the white swan. Cinderella nodded and chatted a bit about being busy and the weather, before turning to the black swan and asking the same question. But the black swan did not respond and instead turned her beak up. “CONFESS!” shouted the detective mouse at the black swan. “And we might forgive you…” “What?! I did nothing wrong! Why are you shouting only at me?” “Because of your behavior, miss Odile.” “That’s unacceptable.” “No, your behavior is unacceptable!” They continued to bicker, until Cinderella was able to calm the both of them. “Now, Odette, Odile. Have you ever seen a golden ballet shoe with black rims?” Odette shook her head. “I only use white or sometimes light pink ballet shoes.” “AHA!” the detective mouse squeaked and he turned to Odile. “You have a taste for gold. Not to mention the black rims must have been quite a seduction!” “Bullocks. The other way around, black shoe with golden rims, yes, but not this way.” Before the detective could however counter, Cinderella bid them her thanks and goodbyes. “Why did we leave?” asked one of the mice. “They were speaking the truth. Odette always wears white and Odile always black. I guess we’re back to searching for ballerinas.” All looked at the detective mouse Hercule, who was deep in thought. “A ballerina…, who can afford to wear gold… Mmmm… AHA! I’ve got it! Everyone follow me!” And he sprinted off towards the horizon. To be continued~

Part 3: The Alibi
All looked at the detective mouse, who was deep in thought. “A ballerina…, who can afford to wear gold… Mmmm… AHA! I’ve got it! Everyone follow me!” And he sprinted off towards the horizon. A lot of snoring was the only sound they heard when they had arrived at the place detective Hercule had pointed. The other mice looked at Hercule disappointed. “You idiot,” sputtered a female mouse, “Did you already forget Aurora has yet to awaken?” Princess Aurora seemed to snore in agreement and continued her 100 year nap. No wonder the fairies had laid her in the highest tower; the snoring was just too much. “But, but she is a princess! Not to mention she sometimes performs ballet! She totally fits the thief image,” explained Hercule. Cinderella smiled, “Well, unless she can steal shoes in her sleep, we can be certain she’s not the one we’re looking for.” “I agree,” the female mouse said and she gave Hercule a nasty look. “Well,” started Hercule, “Why don’t you tell me who stole it, Jacqueline?” Jacqueline gave him a smug look and said, “I already know who the thief is or better who the thieves are. Follow me.” Jacqueline led them to towards one of the ball rooms of the castle. This one was completely golden and was inhabited by twelve dancing ballerinas. “I’m sure one of them must have stolen the shoe,” she said looked at Hercule, who shook his head. “It seems, you don’t know who these ballerinas are.” “Yes, I do,” puffed Jacqueline, “They are the twelve dancing princesses, who dance ballet every night.” “Well yes, but they are also the twelve good fairies.” “Impossible! I’m sure it said ‘princesses’ in my book.” “Ha! Are you still believing in fairytales?” “What’s wrong with that? At least I won’t grow up to be an imagination less detective!” “Say that again!” “I will!” “Friends, please calm down.” The two mice looked at Cinderella, who smiled in return and headed towards the gold fairy. “Excuse me, Mademoiselle Or, but have you ever seen a golden ballet shoe with black rims?” The fairy named Or shook her head, while continued to dance with her sisters. “But maybe,” she said in a melodious tone, “my sister Carabosse knows more.” And she pointed her hand in a swirly way to a gloomy looking fairy who was sitting on the bench, watching the others dance. Carabosse looked up and winked at Cinderella, causing Cindy to back away a bit. “Umm h-hi, mada-mademoiselle Carabosse,” she stuttered. “Hi, how ya doin’ ?” “Good, I think. Umm could I ask you something?” This is uncomfortable, Cinderella thought. “Yeppers.” So scary… “Ok… Have you ever seen a golden ballet shoe with black rims?” Hang on, Cindy, you’re almost there… “Well, actually…” Can’t hold on anymore… “Ok, thanks for your time!” And Cinderella started to run towards the door. “Hey! Wait! Come back here! We were just starting to get to know each other!” The mice watched the fairy chase after Cinderella, yelling to stop running. “I wonder if she knew who did it,” wondered a sloppy dressed mouse. Part 4: The Culprit
“Hey! Wait! Come back here! We were just starting to get to know each other!” The mice watched the fairy chase after Cinderella, yelling to stop running. “I wonder if she knew who did it,” wondered a sloppy dressed mouse. And if she did! When the mice decided to interrogate Carabosse alone, Cinderella had the time to calm down and get her wits together again. “And?” she asked, when the mice came back to her. Hercule was the one who answered. “It’s as I always suspected.” “No, you did not,” said Jacqueline, “Why else did you first bring us to the Swan Lake and then to the Rosen Castle?!” “I can totally explain that. You see, it would have been boring if we immediately found the culprit…” “It would have saved us a lot of trouble, you mean.” “So who did it?” Cinderella cut in. “It was…” The mice had no idea how many stairs they had already climbed. This tower seemed to be even taller than Aurora’s had been and that said something. It wasn’t until another ten minutes, that they arrived at the top. Cinderella politely knocked on the door and a hushed “Come in.” was heard. Inside, they saw for the first time in their lives nothing but hair. It was truly everywhere and they hardly knew where the person was to who this hair belonged. “Rapunzel? Are you there?” asked Cinderella. “I’m here.” But where was here? “Where?” “Here! Up here!” They all looked up and saw Rapunzel sitting one of the wooden boards that supported the roof. The mice climbed up while Cinderella stayed down. “We got you now, Rapunsie!” and Hercule pointed at the long haired girl. “Look at her shoes!” said Jacqueline. They were both golden ballet shoes, but the left one had black rims. They cheered and told Cinderella the good news. “Rapunzel, throw down your hair!” She did so and Cinderella climbed up. “I’m sorry Rapunzel, but that left shoe belongs to our client. She misses it dearly and wants it back.” “Owww, that’s too bad then,” and Rapunzel started to untie the shoe laces. “I didn’t know you liked ballet though,” Cinderella said and supported Rapunzel, so it was easier to untie the shoe. “I only started a few weeks ago. They are planning to make a ballet movie about my story, so I figured I should start practicing. I wanted to ask Aurora for some tips, but she was still sleeping. Such a lazy princess!” “Well, there’s nothing she can do about it.” The shoe was finally off and Rapunzel handed it to Cinderella. “Maybe. So I asked one of the fairies to give me some tips.” Must be Carabosse she asked. They all slid down Rapunzel’s hair and reached the floor. “You won’t lock me up, will you?” asked Rapunzel worryingly. “Of course not. You gave us the shoe back, so no worries. Besides the guards don’t really care about shoe thieves, that’s why if you ever lose a shoe you’ll best come to me.” She winked and left with the golden ballet shoe. Another case closed. The End
