What's worse with comic books? Sometimes they have this story arc, and then they have spin-off side series that focus on a select bunch of the characters, and you have to go back and forth between multiple titles to get the full picture. You'll get snippets or summaries or explanation to tell you what happens in the "main" series, but sometimes they'll have this note saying "read comic book xxx number yyy for detail". It's insane!

In the entire DC/Marvel universe, characters have died and brought back to life multiple times and there's a bajillion alternate continuities. Yeah. It's crazy, but interesting-crazy.

Not to mention retcons, dicontunuities, depending on the writers, you get the idea...

Though to be fair, sometimes mangas would refer to a past event, and mention which volume/chapter/episode it is from, but the chapters/volume divisions of mangas are usually MUCH more organized than comic books- and most of the time you don't really have to read that chapter in question to understand the whole thing- so I don't mind.

Yeah it's not by numerous authors but he's still a kid after dealing with a gazillion cases. Looping and looping and looping all over again lol. Even my classmates who've read it either gave up because of its boringness or bs-ry. Except my one classmate but she's an exception cuz she's a scorpio lol.


Yeah, mangas are a lot less confusing. In Liar Game and Naruto, you only get one (that is the gaiden of Akiyama Shinichi "Roots of A" and Kakashi's gaiden).

I found a manga called Fukigen Cinderella. The synopsis sounds interesting and yeah short chapts so gonna try.

I still read Conan, though, because it's one of the few mangas I read that's updated regularly- aside from Fairy Tail. Maybe I should hope that the ratings of Conan will go down so that Gosho would stop dragging things on and on and on?

*sigh* Anyway, Pandora Hearts is beginning to annoy me as well. There's too many repeating flashbacks, twists and new complications that I'm officially confused. Also, it's updated only once in a month (sometimes more) that I often forget which of the given explanation is supposed to answer which complication.

@Meroko: lol, I'm actually already reading that manga I saw the name Cinderella and wanted to read it. It's not super great, but nice enough to keep me reading ^^

Pandora Hearts... heard and seen it alot on mangareader but never bothered to read it. The artwork turns me off for some reason. Maybe because it reminded me of Gray D. Man. *shrugs*

Anyway, in terms of artwork, I think Pandora Hearts is better than D.Gray-Man. Especially in the latter's case, since the artist is having health problems, the drawings are a bit crude- and the manga itself undergoes too many art evolution that I don't particularly like.

@Meroko: I don't really watch animes, but from what I see from the episode summaries, Pandora Hearts seems to follow the manga's story line quite faithfully (aside from the ending), which is surprising- since adaptations have a habit of adding unnecessary stuffs, removing some important parts and exaggerating drama and shipping.

Not only are they bothered with Detective Conan, they practically read anything for the truth! (k ignore my last post)

Is the story better though? I'm not really fond of both their artworks but if the storyline's good, I'll give it a try.

"Better" is quite relative term actually.

One thing for certain, Pandora Hearts is more confusing, in terms of story line. The direction of the story is not as straightforward as D.Gray-Man, so it's easy to lose track of the current events.

@Meroko: Honestly, I've read up till the last avaible chapter ( and I have no clue why they used the tag romance. But that might still be coming. Let's just wait and see.

@tA_R: It's true that the story's kinda confusing and all that but I still...like the art And what's with that fact of Scorpios? I think...it's TRUE, I get dizzy when I watch Detective Conan more than 3 episodes each time, lol.

@Mei: I think Kanna will turn out into a kinder and gentler man after the curse is removed and he would apologize to that girl, Miyuku or Mikuyu or whatever and she'll forgive him and it'll be...HAPPILY EVER AFTER (?) XD <- That's what most likely to happen I think. And also, I think Kanna would be in a relationship with Isato as his female self and Miyuku as his male self? @___@? Ughhh

@Ivana: I enjoyed Pandora Hearts more than D.Gray-Man, but again, Your Mileage May Vary. It contains HEAVY reference of Alice in Wonderland, and they're similar in a way that the events you encounter are quite unexpected, but not completely random. If you don't like confusing plots, where the direction of the story is not revealed in a straightforward manner, then this manga is not for you.

I hate that monthly-updated-confusing-stories too. A month later I read and I blink, stare, and scratch my head thinking, "What am I looking at? How did this happen again?"

Okay have been re-watching the old series to wait for the new episode for Legend of Korra. Well I forget these funny moments but I am glad I re-watched:

(these are his 'I didn't need to see that' moments)

1) Zuko seeing (he was gonna throw up) Flo and Lee compare themselves to their portrait.
2) Zuko getting his eyes shielded by Mai when Flo and Lee where in their bathing suits.
3) Zuko walking in to Sokka's tent to find a romantic setting (of course Sokka swallowed his rose when he saw Zuko in his tent instead of Suki).

Boy his reactions to those where priceless!
