@daeva:
Colors: for real? That's crazy O_O! (good thing my fav colors are blue and black XD) Cosplay: huh? probably the easiest cosplay around. There's always worst things, like 'edward cullen' or 'cullen' being considered a compliment. (ie, "omg! you totally look like a cullen!") *gags* Though I always laugh when "cullenism" is being used, probably due to my dirty brain XD

I know for one that people who are really named Cullen exist. I hope that doesn't mean they get jumped by fanbrats..
There are lots of vampire things that are renamed "Twilight" just to make it more appealing to the fans. There's this recipe for "Twilight Punch" which is basically a bowl of red punch with toy/gummy fangs thrown in it. I kid you not. About the colours. Indeed. I frequent Etsy site a lot and one time I randomly browsed "Twilight jewelry". Aside from the ones with Cullen crests, or photos of actors or the book covers, there were all these Miscellaneous Stuff that nobody could know it's Twilight related if it didn't say so. They're saying all these things like "Twilight-inspired" or whatever. And now all vampire things are re-labeled as "Twilight" just so people would buy it. I like vampires. This is annoying.

Oh my. An 'actual' biological explanation by SM. Mind if I chew on it ?
Vampires are physically similar enough to their human origins to pass as humans under some circumstances (like cloudy days). There are many basic differences. They appear to have skin like ours, albeit very fair skin. White skin=skin cancer! D: The skin serves the same general purpose of protecting the body. However, the cells that make up their skin are not pliant like our cells, they are hard and reflective like crystal. pliant = flexible. Crystal like=no moving. Their skin isn't flexible meaning its more akin to plant cell walls than mammalian. This... doesn't work as plant cell walls are very stiff and will not move unless there's a chemical change which forces change. Human skin cells also layer which would be very bad since that means crystalizing them would freeze them solid. Dazzpires should be frozen solid in place due to inability to move. A fluid similar to the venom in their mouths works as a lubricant between the cells, which makes movement possible (note: this fluid is very flammable). flammable fluid=Why? There's no reason for the body to be flammable as its ~70% water. Also, the body moves due to essentially 'electric shocks' which signal proteins to disconnect/connect causing muscle movement. (in a poor ' i don't wanna get into biological terms but I will if I have to' speak). It's not like the body's just a hollow shell filled with lubricant. That's just silly. A fluid similar to the same venom lubricates their eyes so that their eyes can move easily in their sockets. (However, they don't produce tears because tears exist to protect the eye from damage, and nothing is going to be able to scratch a vampire's eye.) Tears are very important for several functions. One's called lubrication. *nods* Also, the eyes are 'jelly like' and squishy. Since she didn't mention anything about the eyes being skin like, I'm gonna assume they're not crystally hard. This would mean there's no reason for the eyes to be uber strong and sparkly. The lubricant-venom in the eyes and skin is not able to infect a human the way saliva-venom can. Why? There's no explanation for how it just segregates between enzymes and changes them. Similarly, throughout the vampire's body are many versions of venom-based fluids that retain a marked resemblance to the fluid that was replaced, and function in much the same way and toward the same purpose. Okay, she keeps going on and on about fluids. Precisely what is she referring to? Skimming this wiki list, none of the 'venom replacements' are actually necessary. The dazzpires don't eat, sleep, drink, urinate, defecate, vomit, etc. There is no need to have a replacement as this is a waste. Though there is no venom replacement that works precisely like blood, many of the functions of blood are carried on in some form. Blood's main purpose is to be an oxygen carrier. The next is to carry nutrients/waste throughout the body. What is she talking about since the cullens don't need any of those carried out? OH, and don't forget that the heart, which is THE blood pumper is not beating=no blood is actually flowing. Also, the nervous system runs in a slightly different but heightened way. Some involuntary reactions, like breathing, continue (in that specific example because vampires use the scents in the air much more than we do, rather than out of a need for oxygen). That doesn't make sense. There's no purpose to breathing so breathing should be a purely voluntary thing. She already mentioned above that 'unneeded' things such as tears don't happen. Also, involuntary breathing is dependent on CO2 content in the body. Since cullens are dazzies, this breathing mechanism would be totally messed up. Other involuntary reactions, like blinking, don't exist because there is no purpose for them. Blinking is to lubricate the eyeballs. Don't have=dried out eyeballs=blindness. The normal reactions of arousal are still present in vampires, made possible by venom-related fluids that cause tissues to react similarly as they do to an influx of blood. no heart pumping =no influx of blood=what are you talking about? Like with vampire skin—which looks similar to human skin and has the same basic function—fluids closely related to seminal fluids still exist in male vampires, which carry genetic information and are capable of bonding with a human ovum. I already poked the skin issue. And I poked the 'why alien baby should not exist' issue. human ovum+dazzysperm=bad chromosome count=NO WORK. Also, she gives no explanation for why female vampires are apparently sterile while males are not. There's no logical explanation for why males are not sterile. She already said that things without a purpose stops functioning. Well there is no point for the females to be entirely sterile while the males are not. This means the species cannot reproduce and are essentially stuck. Hence there's also no reason for sex/arousal since these are to make one more willing to copulate. Hmmm.... This was not a known fact in the vampire world (outside of Joham's personal experimenting) before Nessie, because it's nearly impossible for a vampire to be that near a human and not kill her. how is it impossible since the cullens are hanging around a bunch of hormonal tasty teenagers? I doubt the cullens are the only 'vegans' around. Yay for more 'scientific' explanation, that just really complicate the matter further scientifically. She should have simply stuck to the 'these vampires are magical and work in mysterious ways'. *writes down notes for what not to do with my brand of vampies*

@KTC
Great work on the scientific clarifications xD I remember a part in Van Helsing why the Vampire Lord's wives were grieving despite they had like an infinite number of vampire babies...They were born dead as they are dead beings to begin with.

@KTC-Even if she did not mention whether eye is crystal, a crystal hard eye can not see so that means it is impossible withot tears. And the fluid which is very flammable (she said similar fluid) would burn their eyes on slight heat which would be created by friction which would produce heat. So her vampires eyes should be on fire all the time.

@theone:
crystal hard eyes = blind is an interesting point. But its possible that ifthe eyes aren't crystal hard and the visual nerve system is functional, than the eyes would still work. Of course, this is overlooking the fact that since the dazzpires don't blink, they would not lubricate the eyes resulting in blindness anyway. However the fire part is assuming the eye remains the same. If the venom changed everything of the human body, than the eyes would most likely develop some sort of resistance against the flammability part, similar to how king cobras are immune to their own venom. @rena/elie: hope my rants were of some entertainment/educational value ![]()

@KTC: Awesome explanation on the biology-fail
She really shouldn't have tried to be all-scientific about it...And... another reason why Stephenie Meyer is epic fail: She's such a pompous idiot who can't be nice to her own fans~~!!! My bad again for not saving the link to the post that said this, but this is an account of an anti who has a Twilight fan friend. So said friend asked her (the anti) to go with her to a book signing. They had a chance to see Meyer before the event started so the friend went and asked for a signature in advance. So Meyer said it's a rule that no one may have autographs in advance. The fan said that they needed to leave as soon as possible and since the only purpose of them coming is to get an autograph it won't hurt to just give it so they could leave. Then Meyer had this tantrum and started calling the fan bad names. Geez!

@daeva:
Fan: ouch, to have your idol curse ya must have been horrible. Though, here's some actual quotes from her to amplify the idiotic/pompous: (prepare for a lot of laughs) (Side note: there are those who think Bella is a wuss. There are those who think my stories are misogynistic—the damsel in distress must be rescued by strong hero. ... I emphatically reject the second accusation. I am all about girl power—look at Alice and Jane if you doubt that. I am not anti-female, I am anti-human. I wrote this story from the perspective of a female human because that came most naturally, as you might imagine. But if the narrator had been a male human, it would not have changed the events. When a human being is totally surrounded by creatures with supernatural strength, speed, senses, and various other uncanny powers, he or she is not going to be able to hold his or her own. Sorry. That's just the way it is. We can't all be slayers. Bella does pretty well I think, all things considered. She saves Edward, after all. Side note/rant over. Back to the story.) How the heck can you be 'anti human' and write human stories with happy endings? Anti human means you hate humans and yourself. This means everyone should have died horrible deaths in the book. As for the whole 'this is a normal female', uh no. I think most women have more spine than bella. And edward's abusive. Nuff said. Tw Staff: Reading Twilight it came to me the story of Westley and Buttercup. Is Bella and Edward love, True Love like theirs? A: Actually Bella and Edward love story is better than them. When I was in college I wrote a paper from a feminist perspective (it’s an easy way to write) on the princess bride so I am little biased. The problem I have with Westley and Buttercup is Buttercup is an idiot and it doesn’t bother anyone, all that matters is that she’s beautiful, that is her only value. At the end she redeems herself a bit, but the female characters are very weak in that story. Westley is brave and smart and fights, Buttercup is just beautiful, it’s her only thing: her brain means nothing, her personality means nothing to him, they have the kind of love where they can’t leave without each other. It’s not a great example to me. I couldn’t find one who was a really good comparison to me, I mean, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr.Darcy’s it’s pretty good, except you should think that if either one of them dies the other one will carry on bravely, and Romeo and Juliet were kind of idiots, they didn’t know each other very well. And Anna Of Green Gables and Gilbert Blythe (Anna dai capelli rossi), but they are much more like Jacob and Bella, they’re friend they get the nerves of each other a lot. I didn’t find out yet a Bella and Edward love story that really satisfied me that way. Check out her description on buttercup and westley, seems pretty similar to eddy/bella eh? The only difference here is that princess bride is a comedy, and twilight isn't one supposedly. And she's bashing Jane Austen. JANE AUSTEN. *rages*"Tw Staff: The world of fan fiction is growing up bigger and bigger. Do you think is useful for a young writer to write a fan fiction, or should they stick to their own stories and characters? Stephenie: It’s kinda hard, it’s difficult to say because it’s new, I don’t know if in ten year fanfic writer are became writers. If that will happen, I don’t know if that’s the right evolution. In one hand I think practise would be good, and you can put your stories where other people could see them and advise, and it’s a way to learn how to write. But it does seem a little dangerous to me not be using your characters, plus somebody put very much effort writing this fan fictions, like Alphie and her Lion and the lamb, that I had to stop reading as she cut up where I was, and I don’t want to be tainted at all. She is writing a book-like novel, and she can never use it, she could never publish it, it seem unfair to me, putting so much effort. There’s no enough reward for that, so I think that if people have to write it should be about their own stories and characters, but if fan fictions existed when I was thirteen or fourteen and I was reading Anne Macaffrey and the Dragon Books I probably would have written them, I would have probably got into them." in a nutshell: writing fanfic is a no no cuz you can't get money from it. wat? (from her webby somewhere) "Beware: I can only give writing tips for my style of writing, because I don't know how to do anything else! My focus is the characters--that's the part of the story that is most important to me. I feel the best way to write believable characters is to really believe in them yourself. When you hear a song on the radio, you should know how your character feels about it--which songs your character would relate to, which songs she hates. Hear the conversations that your characters would have when they're not doing anything exciting; let them talk in your head, get to know them. Know their favorite colors and their opinions on current events, their birthdays and their flaws. None of this goes in the book, it's just to help you get a rounded feel to them." No wonder her characters are cardboard paper. "What CD is Bella listening to in Chapter Seven? I took that information out because I wasn't sure how long it was going to take to get Twilight published. If it took ten years, would the band still be cool, or would it be embarrassing? Lucky for me, it didn't take that long, and the band is still quite cool (in my eyes, at least). Bella is listening to Linkin Park. As I am at this very moment." ^yeah, ya see: a good author wouldn't give a damn about how popular something is gonna be in 10 years. They write for the now. If every author worried about such things, than they wouldn't write because everything goes outta date eventually. "WHAT IF... What if true love left you? Not some ordinary high school romance, not some random jock boyfriend, not anyone at all replaceable. True love. The real deal. Your other half, your true soul's match. What happens if he leaves? The answer is different for everyone. Juliet had her version, Marianne Dashwood had hers, Isolde and Catherine Earnshaw and Scarlett O'Hara and Anne Shirley all had their ways of coping. I had to answer the question for Bella. What does Bella Swan do when true love leaves her? Not just true love, but Edward Cullen! None of those other heroines lost an Edward (Romeo was a hothead, Willoughby was a scoundrel, Tristan had loyalty issues, Heathcliff was pure evil, Rhett had a mean streak and cheated with hookers, and sweet Gilbert was much more of a Jacob than an Edward). So what happens when True Love in the form of Edward Cullen leaves Bella?" ^lotsa bashing on other people and claiming Eddy/Bella pwns them. *shakes head* And I don't think there's much good in throwing yourself off a cliff and not even attempting to get over the depression. "Q: Given how fast you write, they better get the presses ready. A: [Laughs] Sometimes it also makes me nervous. [My fans] count on me to be a fast writer, with a once-a-year release schedule, which, you know, isn't entirely fair. I mean, how long did they give J.K. Rowling? [Laughs] She gets a good couple of years between her books, and [Eragon author] Christopher Paolini gets two or three, too. But I know fans want [the new books], and you wanna give them what they want." She's bashing JKR now. Obviously she's too worried about popularity than writing something good. Okay, that's enough loling for now XD If you want more, look here:http://www.twilightersitalia.com/sito ... article&id=466&Itemid=113

KTC: Brilliant chewing! You could bitchslap Smeyer in a debate any day!
I just could not believe my eyes when she started knocking on the classics. I wanted to do something violent. "Darcy and Lizzy are OK!? OKAY!?? Is that all you have to say?" God, I am SO sorry that Lizzy and Darcy can't live up to your godawful standards, SM. Yeah, Lizzy can think for herself and sasses people regularly. I guess that's incredibly rude, considering Bella only whines and complains about everyone around her, but never voices anything or attempts to do anything about it. I'm sorry that Darcy's pride and offense repulses Lizzy, instead of drawing her in and making her love him even more. EddyXBella - what an absolute dream ... unrivaled in setting "feminism" (do you know what that means, Smeyer?) back 200 years.

Yeah. SMeyer thinks her story is WAY above all those literary classics... What a snob. Since her brother practically blocks ALL emails that said bad things about her books, she probably thinks she's the best thing in the world.. GEEZ!!!
EDIT: There's been rumours that the one who leaked Midnight Sun online is Robert Pattinson himself. It's not been proven, but I sincerely hope it WAS him. Because that would totally be a punch in the gut to Meyer.

Oh, I think SMeyer knows it. She said she knew who did it, but that she believed it wasn't 'intended harmfully.'
I have 2 theories: Either she leaked it as a publicity stunt or RPATTZ did. Some people ask why she would leak it as a publicity stunt after she's already famous. Simple. A lot (and I mean a lot) of fans were furious over Breaking Dawn's horrible plotline and blatant pedophilia. She needed a distraction. And even more suspicious? A friend of mine emailed Seth (SM's webmaster/brother) about the leak and a leak of the Twilight script. (2 emails) He responded immediately to the one about the Twilight script, but completely ignored the email about Midnight Sun - and many other emails from fans reporting the link. Makes you wonder, huh? PS: SMeyer quote comments: I emphatically reject the second accusation. I am all about girl power—look at Alice and Jane if you doubt that. I am not anti-female, I am anti-human. <<<<----- WHAT!? Anti Human? Wow, if that's so, no wonder why all the humans are such wusses in your books. It's cuz Meyer hates the human race. Sorry to break it to her, but it's the human race that spawned SM too. Maybe that's why she needs to smoke crack all day and retreat into her TwiWorld to avoid throwing herself of a cliff because she's - sob, not a sparkly carnivorous fairy - or Meyerpire.
