so the only issues really are edits & new threads.

paralel needs help. she/he just told me on kingdom chat that s/he can't post anywhere because the
button and the
button is missing.. s/he says s/he's logged on, but just can't reply to any posts or make his/her own topics. needs help.

Is he/she using Firefox? If so, tell him/her to use IE until Amanda fixes the problem.

I'm having the same trouble with Firefox too so I switch back to IE. -click here-for some tips that Aislingygaio and the others have posted for Firefox users. And between, Paralel is a he.(if he is the same Paralel from the temporary site)

simplest directions:
for new threads, go into the desired forum then change the "viewforum" in the address bar into "newtopic". (to add poll, just add "op=add&" after "?" and before "forum=#" )

for full replies, go into the desired topic, then change the "viewtopic" in the address bar to "reply".

Thanks, aisling - I had wondered where those buttons were! I'll be glad when it gets fixed for Firefox as well, but for the time being, your directions will really help.

The Online/Offline Face next to the Username on posts doesn't show when using Firefox either.

There are a number of features not available at this time if you use FIrefox. Hopefully, Bryce will get the site fixed to work with Firefox.

Yeah, AM was never very Cross-Browser compatable.
I'm gonna use firebug and try to find out what's making them dissapear in Fire Fox.

I found the problem...for some reason the HTML is being changed for FF...

Here is the code for the reply button in IE:

It's normal, the image is being used (t_reply-a.gif) and the size is being set (width: 94px; height:30px

BUT! If you look at the source in Fire Fox:

The image is a null gif (blank.gif) and the size is nothing (width: 0px; height:0px

Something is a little fishy here...

To add to the list of Firefox problems... I don't know if this is just me, or if others are having this problem as well, but I figured I'd post about it anyway.

In the firefox browser, the forum page is off to the left side of the browser page for me, as seen in the picture below:

(Sorry, it's kind of small, but you get the idea)

and if we can't add them,when will amaranth fix that?

This has been a bug in Amaranthia since the dawn of time, there's not really a good way to fix it besides redoing the whole template. (Or use an unstable technique that might break some pages.)

Whoops, did I say add? I meant inject. I meant that as a proof of concept. If you guys wait for me to get a little free time today, I'll write some bookmarklets for fire fox to replicate the buttons.

DtD, when you say the "off to the side" thing has been a bug since the dawn of time, do you mean it's always been like this, but just in Firefox? I didn't start using Firefox until recently, and in IE as well as my old Yahoo! browser, the forum was always centered correctly.

Anyway, if this has always been a problem with Firefox, then just ignore my previous post.

Yup, Amaranthia uses a technique for centering that FF doesn't support (according to web standards, it shouldn't...but IE has always been rebelious.)
