I love watching anime, but where I am, it's so expensive to buy a bunch of it. I guess I'm just sounding frugal. My favorite entertainment store is called "Hastings" and they have most of their anime for 19.99. Anyway-

I just can't watch the Naruto anime...either too many fillers or they just drag the episodes out unnecessarily -_-;

Angel Wings: No, I have never heard of those. But Naruto, yes. ^^

The opening of Naruto anime gave me a massive heart attack. This part: "Let's go!" and showing Naruto's face up-close.

Great to see this thread again...I'm too lazy to post what anime/mange I've read or seen or even my favourite list...(It'll take forever)

I'm into almost all genre (except yaoi or yuri, I still tolerate a bit of shonen ai), all in all I'm into the shoujo, romance, fantasy, detective story plots, mysteries...

I'm currently reading: FMA, Vampire Knight, Bitter Virgin, Detective Conan, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden...(I'm a big fan of Yuu Watase's works)

I've not been able to watch much anime lately, the most recent ones I'd followed are:

Vision of Escaflowne, Ginban Kaleidoscope, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Romeo x Juliet.

I like reading most genres including yuri/shoujo ai. (So hard to find decent yuri among the trash) But I've never been able to stick with yaoi/shonen ai. For some reason, the ones I end up reading like gravitation end up having one male who totally acts like a girl so it's like reading a straight pairing. O.o;;

Which part did you not get? Maybe I can help...I agree that this story is quite complicted (I love complicated plots that gets me thinking---well,most of the time) xD Just PM me the parts that confuse you and maybe I can help you out.

Gravitation...I love the songs in that anime but I never got to read the manga except for a one page preview I found online. This was one yaoi anime that I nearly vormit blood watching ast the beginning. I somehow got desensitized so I manage to survive watching the whole series. My friend warned me about the OVA, NEVER WATCH IT if you're the faint hearted one who can't stand YAOI plots.(I never watch it). So far the only Yaoi manga/anime I like is Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness), the art is brilliant in my opionin. I fell in love with its main character, Tsuzuki Asato but later dumped him to no. 2 for Conrad Weller from Kyou Kara Maou (shonen ai genre).

I never really liked Yaoi/Yuri genres, even though most of the artwork for the different manga are absolutely beautiful.

@Pandaba: Hmm... I'm not really a fan of the Yaoi/ Yuri genre myself but I do like a little bit of Shonen Ai XD

I gotta summon that friend back. She lives on yaoi. xD For me, it doesn't matter which genre it is, as long as the stories are good. ^^

@Bemused: If you think about it, some people don't really read manga. They just look at the pictures...hmmm

Indeed...I saw OVAs that don`t respect the manga,anyway not all the events and details... And about the anime,there are many animes that start when the manga it`s still ongoing,so it`s up to directors to finish the story as they want,while in the manga there is a completly diferent ending... As example:Hellsing. It`s totaly different:the manga and anime... I heard it`s the same thing with Nana,Death note and Chobits or Elden Lied,I`m not sure... I`ll watch them and read the manga to see the diferences... From the ones above,I watched all the episodes only from Hellsing and Chobits,but I have the mangas... Oh,now I see how much I`d written...

Well, Air Gear's anime finished before it reaches the main plot so most people end up thinking that the whole thing doesn't have a plot and don't want to read the manga, like my friend. But the manga's main plot seems to be beginning soon so... yeah ^^

Hellsing's OVA is faithful to the manga. The earlier anime has too much of military stuff and too little blood shed. Furgason doesn't exist in the manga. xD

From what I heard from a friend, Death Note anime is faithful to the manga too. I stopped halfway watching though. ^^

From what I understand, manga are the mangaka's original ideas while anime changes depending on how the script writer/directors changes it. Most anime's plot divert from their manga counterparts. This is one thing, I never liked about anime as the manga's ending as WAY better... I especially hated how Chrno Crusade ended in the manga. I was near to tear(couldn't seem to cry, my friend called me cold blooded for that)when I managed to read the manga's ending. It was definitely much more better.
