That's one I have considered but it basically reverts to Evolution vs Creation and I want to be sure everyone can keep their emotions in check.
That is a heavy topic. It is open for discussion to see if the club would like to tackle it. I would like to try myself on that one too

Evolution vs Creation would be an interesting debate and I have a good grasp of both sides but the division between the two comes down to religious beliefs. It would likely turn into religion versus science debate. If we did do that debate, I would choose not participate in that one since I don't want to argue against one's religious beliefs.

Ideally there is a case to be made for both sides. Just because you can see the merits of the opposing side, doesn't mean you can't be in a debate, in fact, you can use this to your advantage by bringing up the other side and then weakening their case or pointing out a stronger argument for your particular team.

Half of the fun of debating is learning something about the topic. The technique of debate - making a clear argument, finding supporting information, etc. is one everyone should learn and practice, so don't be afraid to try it.

Okay everyone should we include underaged fathers as part of the topic?

Including underage fathers can be a whole other issue. If my memory serves me correctly, in some place mothers can put a child up for adoption without the father's consent because of some obscure laws. I saw read something about that once, but I can't remember where.

I might participate in this debate on the 'yes, they should be allowed' but it's a big maybe. Life is starting to get a little hectic again.

Personally I think the teen father issue would be a better debate because I think the con side of the teen mother one would have a hard time, but we shall see if someone wants to take that side.

I could take the con side
