I am changing my opinion about adoption. Why? Here goes. It's from Tipping point. I got it from my grad ceremony for Academic Proficiency.
From Tipping Point: Scientists believe that half the effect on behaviour comes from the environment. But this effect does NOT come from home. Scientists have never found the nurture effect. An example 245 children were adopted. Test were run on children and adopted parents. For comparision's sake, the same test was run on 245 children and biological parents. Results for biological parents showed they were similar. But they were as similar to adopted parents as they were to two random people off the street. Conclusion No Nurture effect from home. Society and peers matter' My conclusion Adoption by gays won't make children gays.

See? Told ya, Without even doing/conducting any of that stuff :p
So it’s the society, over your parents, that has a stronger impact/influence on you, not quite startling.

@theone: glad you came to see that gay parents won't make kids gay.
Gay people generally have straight parents who raise them straight. Still gay.

Bible thumpers always are against this. See
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101012/a ... /us_mormon_church_letters People should at least understand that you CAN NOT change how you are

@theone: to be fair, not all churches are against gays.
There's several that's quite friendly to gays, even have some gay priests thrown in.

Well, but the majority are against it. They file petitions against it even if the bill is passed

@Theone
You can't really compare the Mormon church to other churches. Mormonism is pretty different from other divisions of Christianity.

yay ![]() And, ISRAEL allows openly gay people in their military? Wow, never knew a mid east country was that open bout it. :o (US media usually portrays the mid east as a backward area run by hate-everything-terrorists. I see I have to do more research on the mid east.)

I am bisexual, and it means that I am also gay.And if I like a boy,and in the end I get to want to be in a relation with him. Now,THE BIG QUESTION:What is wrong in knowing true love? And the church is fool, because one thing haven't noticed yet.In the Bible, actually,by the time it was written, one thing appeared, but that was about pedophile people are sinners. That was mistranslated and ended into the thing today, that homosexuality is a sin.Just amazing!*sarcasm*
Gay people have the same rights as any other people do,IMO,because if you get to know such people, you'll notice they aren't different at all.Not all gay people are stereotypes.Of my kind,I like wearing long hair, and artificial leather clothes, which usually I wear over a leather jacket,at the neck with an fur imitation collar. Is that gay, really?I don't think it is at all... Next, hate crimes, people which are really either homophobic, either don't like people which are "different" in their eyes. Many happened along history, and I always try to stop things like gay/bisexual people being bullied.Usually,at school, people fear me,and when I am near, then scatter like ants. Third stuff, bisexuality is also a gay form, but is also combined with straight influences. As a short definition, bisexual people don't love genders, they love people.Another thing which people don't accept. So,as a conclusion, people will never going to accept each other as much as you try.Gay people will always be persecuted because they like what they like. And remember, from such stuff, from hating other races, other people's preferences, like that was born the Shoah, which even those days, have a major effect on the world.I don't think anyone wants another event like that to happen again. It is sad,but that's it.If I have to,I will fight until my very dying day for the right of people,so no more barriers and limits are put, well, not all the limits down, just the ones on discriminatory basis. I end here, and tell you, gladly, that I am back.I was away for a long time, because my PC was broken, and had to repair it.And I apologize Valie and the others that I was inactive and haven't kept a promise...The person knows what I am talking about.Have a good day guys.

@klaus: hmmm, so you're agreeing that being a gay is not a bad thing.
"So, as a conclusion, people will never going to accept each other as much as you try. Gay people will always be persecuted because they like what they like". -i see that you're being cared that people usually don't accept all bout gay couples. It because of majority of them are not gays, so it ended being a gay up, more seemed like a big bad influence to generations, so they avoid this. Also with your references from bible's theories, you cannot say that's purely didn't mentioned over. I heard that if you're a gay, that's mean you're not respecting God, because you're going with males, which you're given many females to be with.

Shadowshed, read the Bible. That's a lie,a donut you are forced to swallow by the church. And the fact that I am bi doesn't have anything to do with it.

@klaus: but i think i could accept it, if you're saying it referred to the bible itself, Gay would be categorized as a sin too, because of what God has given to you to be with.
@theone: at least there'Re must be some that not marrying, who knows? XD XD

I think God exists, and loves it's people. He proved me that in the worst situation you can rely on His help.I don't think people will be punished, because love isn't a sin,am I wrong?

@klaus: as you've said before bout bible's saying, then you're wrong. In bible, it's mentioned that the final judgement will be held on at the end of world. So, your sins would be counted.

Agree shadowshed, but you don't get what I mean.I do not think that God considers being gay/bisexual/etc. a sin.And according to the Bible, the worst sin is suicide, and that is very close to spending your life near a man, being a man,but does the Bible, concretely, say that homosexuality is a sin?Can quote me one line about that?I sincerely think it isn't.And in the Bible was a line like this: "Love the ones close to you." Any hint here?

@shed/klaus/theone: check the bible your reading. Different versions are going to give you different translations. Some are going to translate a word, forgot which one, into homosexual and its going to make peter sound like he's condemning homosexuality.
Though this wouldn't make any sense in context since during Jesus time, there was no concept of homosexuality. The best way to read the bible would be to read straight from the source no translation.
