I'd say the chicken. If it didn't then I don't think there would be any chickens, or eggs. Eggs can't raise themselves! (plus a million other things i figured out awhile ago, but i forgot...

I'd say chicken because it's the chicken that makes the egg.

Lets see, an egg isn't living until it's fertilised. And life can't come from death. I'm going to go with the chicken came first.

hmmmm...i disagree wit you oracle. lrcy didnt say it was supposed to be a chicken egg. and i doubt that the chicken came from prehistoric times. i say the egg came before the chicken.

As seen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

i think this is a better debate topic than any we have chosen XD i still think that the egg came first, and it did, proven by scientific facts, and luna is not really correct all the time...most of the time actually... as a circle can have a beggining but not an end

@s_tyong: Luna may not always be right, but her answer was agreed upon by Ravenclaw's door knocker. besides, i think it's irrelevant talking about the chicken and, say, the egg of a snake. it's like comparing oranges and apples.

If you say:
Egg- Where did it come from? Chicken- How did the chicken appear? But the Bermuda Triangle is more interesting though.

Of course it was the egg. The first chicken came from an egg, it was mutated from another species.
Now if you ask which came first, the egg or the first egg-laying animal, that would be a lot more complicated...

Actually, there are no specific prove that chickens doesn't exist in the prehistoric times. Well, there aren't any proves that they exist during those ages either. And for people who thinks it's a mutaion from other speces of animals, where did those 'other species of animals' come from? And I don't think relying/ believing too much on science is a good idea

i agree with s-tyong ect it's a mutant from an other spicy that is now called a chicken they came out off a cross bread off other birds they laid the egg so first the egg then the chicken

*sighs* why is it that when i think one thing, everyone else seems to think the opposite? it's like a curse or something... Stupid Lucinda. (jk
sorry, been reading Ella enchanted...)I found a whole bunch of information supporting the chicken coming first, but it'd take a LONG time to type, and i gotta go. (science test. My worst fear, coming true. )

Based on science and evolution, the egg came first due to a different animal breeding with something else giving the unusual cross breeding resulting of a chicken embryo.
Based on belief and common sense, the chicken must have been created as an animal at one time and laid an egg, thus the chicken must have been first. If I was to base my choice on neither of these and picked one, I would say the ...... Drumroll please......the one who came first was the :::::Arrow comes out of nowhere and kills Kenny through the heart::::: egg

Whats a zygote?
@starwolfz I believe God created the chicken too Then it laid an egg. I don't believe in evolution. The surmise that if a rock sits in one place long enough it will change into something else takes more faith than I can muster. There has never been a case in science where something gained DNA Data. All observed changes come from a loss of DNA Data. That is De-evolving into something less not something more.

I believe that God created two chickens. A girl and a guy. After all, there's no point in making just one. How could it have a kid? If it had crossbred, then we would have something else instead of a chicken. Please tell me a make at least a little sense.
