Yippee finally signed-up for a kayaking course! Only 3 in our school (including me) has joined, sadly. :| Now I just need to find a summer course for archery....

At our school, we have yachting lessons instead of kayaking. ^^

Well, our school has something called "AYP". It's a worldwide organization and you can earn different 'ranks' (bronze, silver, gold) of the activities you do. It includes sports, volunteer work, arts/music etc etc. Those ranks are important if you want to add more to your extra-curricular activities for applying universities. It's kinda like a proof. We pay the money to the school, but the school doesn't hold the activities itself but an outside organization. They just do the transaction.

And the activities held by AYP is cheap compared to others so the more popular ones can get filled up pretty quickly, like that shooting (gun) one I've been thinking of joining. ﹁_﹁

Started doing Archery and it's super fun.

I'm using a left handed 22Lbs draw weight bow + 28inch arrows.

I'm comfortably getting all my arrows clustered at 10 paces away.

At 20m, I'm starting to get the hang of it as I'm slowly getting some of my arrows to cluster. Teacher is aiming to get us to 30m though I think we'll be staying at 20m until the end of the semester.

I remember doing archery a couple times in high school. We stayed pretty close most of the time, but on the final day, we stepped WAY back and the instructor put balloons on the bulls eyes. I don't think any balloons were popped.

We don't use balloons, but we use those target ring signs like in the Olympics. We're also keeping score. Best is 60 ie 6 perfect 10s.

At 10 paces, I generally average 40.
At 20m, I'm averaging ~30 ish.
