Can anyone explain the difference of the TOEFL and the IELTS? I'm quite confused. Since this is the language club, I think this is where I think it's suitable to ask.

I remember there being a post somewhere in the rules section that English is the language used here, and no other languages are permitted (without a translation into English). I'll work on the first post tomorrow and add that. Thanks for the suggestion, Stardale.

I did a quick search with Google about TOEFL and IELTS, and you can find discussion for example here (from the perspective of which is easier). It was an interesting question since I had only heard of TOEFL before (I think the Fulbright Centre in Finland only allows that one as a standard of English, and many of the exchange students from here to the U.S. go through there). Now I know more, thanks to you, Stardale.

Yes, there's no problem with speaking in other languages here, but the purpose of this topic is to introduce others/help others with languages. So, chatting away in another language doesn't help anyone.

If you do type something in a language other than English, please also provide the English translation, so that we can all learn.
