Rhen's Pa was not blind or a fool. So when a vampire followed Rhen to dinner, he threw holy water at the fiend.
He didn't trust the bloodsucker. After all, humans were just prey to vampires. They also had mysterious powers so how was he suppose to know that Rhen voluntarily brought the vampire over for supper? It must be mind manipulation. His daughter was a good girl who dated human boys, like the neighbor's kid what's-his-name, Danny. There was no way his little girl was in a relationship with a vampire, a female vampire at that. But he couldn't control his daughter, that much was sure. So, he did the next best thing: Watch the leech very carefully. He heard horror stories of how vampires kept humans as mindless pets and food sources. There was no way he'll let the leech do that. Once he had enough evidence, he'll force Rhen to see the error of her ways. Whenever they visited, (which became more often after 'agreeing' to be civil), Rhen's Pa observed their interactions. Unfortunately, the vampire proved smart and was on its best behavior. It didn't even attempt to sneak into Rhen's room at night. What? He couldn't understand it. Was there really a possibility that this was real? Perhaps he should try to understand the vampire? He only wanted the best for his little girl. (Though he probably won't tell Rhen about marching to the Sun Priest's temple and punching Dameon. That little brat was lucky he had apprentices to guard him. Same with Lars. Actually, they were lucky he convinced his wife to keep her frying pan at home.) Goddess, he couldn't keep his curiosity still any longer. The man got out of bed, careful not to disturb his wife, and tiptoed to his daughter's room. The door stood a little open. Peeking, his eyes widened. Rhen slept on top of the bloodsucker's body, clamping onto it like a crab. The vampire just smiled with a goofy grin, occasionally stroking Rhen's back. Rhen's Pa frowned and made his way back to bed. He had much to think about. After a few hours of debating, he came to a few conclusions. Rhen's Pa will attempt to be more civil. And if the vampire hurt Rhen, she'll have two very angry parents to deal with. Nodding, he had a restful sleep. Later, at the family table where the humans gathered for lunch, he gruffly asked, "Rhen, has the vampire been visiting your bedroom lately?" "Umm...No" "Then why do I see hickeys on your neck?" ------------ i had a constant repetition of hickeys, parents, blind, and fool in my head. This is the result.

egads, why the heck does a massively random plot bunny have to hit me now?!
Ahriman Prophecy verse (yes, you read that right. no rhen or teijal in this one.) i'm trying a slightly different style with switching POVs. the glass coffin scenario with a twist --------- "You do it, you're the knight." "But it's not honorable!" "Well, I can always do it." "NO." Devin smacks Jack on the back of the head while the boy grins. I stay out of the argument seeing as this type of bickering is beneath me. Really, this is getting annoying. My colleagues and I have finally gotten that blasted key to free Sereina. and get the passion relic. The only problem is one of us has to wake her up. Can we say headache inducing? This is like watching those backstabbing nobles at court. Everyone talks but no one does anything. Frederick just watches, probably fascinated with this verbal sparing. "Alicia. Why are they arguing over a kiss?" He glances at me and I shrug. I don't get it either. Maybe I should, but there's a reason I want to escape from the castle and all its pretenses. The women there are utter gossip whores and constantly talk about the latest scandals over tea while I just want to leave. I much rather swing a sword and talk with the men in the barracks, but my damn royalty status gets in the way. It didn't use to be like that when I was little. I use to be allowed to play with the boys and be grimy. Of course, mother disapprove severely but father allowed it. Until I was of marriage age that is. I sigh as I watch the tedious bickering and looked at the woman in the glass casket. I only heard of her in legends where she is cursed in this prison because she refused to marry a demon. I wonder what happened to her kingdom as I continue to stare at her, my colleague's voices reducing to a whisper. Are they sleeping too like her? Or is she alone in this world? What secrets does she hold? How long has she been here? I reach a hand forward to touch her cheek. She feels soft, warm, not at all what I expected. Regardless of how much time has past, she's still beautiful. My eyes drift from her face to her tempting lips. Before I know what I'm doing, I lean forward until mere centimeters separated us. I kissed her. Suddenly, a bright light shines from her making me jump back, stunned at my impulsiveness. The cavern trembles as the light grows brighter with each passing second. Abruptly, it stops and I wait with bated breath. ------------------- I slowly open my eyes and blink against the harsh light. My limbs feel heavy, as if I've slept for hundreds of years. Where was I? Suddenly it rushes all back to me and I shut my eyes tightly, processing my jumbled memories. Releasing a sigh, I try to lift up an arm and my body reacts sluggishly. A face appears appears before me. A man. Did he free me? He speaks to me and I respond, but my eyes drift away from him. No, it was not him. I delicately pull myself free from his grasp and look around. Her. She released me. I know it as one knows the goddess created all. I ignore everyone else as I approach her. She looks like a trapped griffin in refinery, her wings restrained. ----------------- The princess approaches me and I can do nothing but stay still. How did she know? Of course! She's guarding the passion relic, how can she not know? Before I can react, she pulls me down and crushes our lips together. I can do nothing but respond as heat burns me to my core. My mind blanks as I pull her tightly to me, my hands anything but idle. Eventually we come up for air our, foreheads against one another, breathing harshly. There's fire in her eyes. Passion. It burns, but I relish the fire all the same. I continue to hold her close to me until a indiscreet cough reminds us of where and who we are. Mortified, I drop my arms and stand a distance away from her even as my body protests. I cannot even look her in the eyes as I try to get my breathing under control. Goddess, mother would disapprove, and father... Sereina places a hand on my arm stopping my retreat and thoughts. With a determined glint, she thanks me for freeing her. I just nod, my tongue trapped. She smiles adding fuel to the raging fire in me. ---------- I see her relax, just a fraction. We have much to discuss, but later in private after I awaken my kingdom. I turn to the armored man and get down to business, my hand firmly in the one who stole my heart with a single kiss. ------------ again, massively random plot bunny from no where. alicia/sereina? waaaatt? the plot bunnies are getting randomer with every story.

another random crack fic
--------------------- Rhen adjusted her armor one last time before knocking on the door. "Princess? You called for me?" "The door's opened!" Rhen frowned but shrugged and walked in. It wouldn't do her any good if she got on the bad side of the royalty. Though it was unusual the princess called for her specifically. "What is it you need assistance with-" Her eyes widened. Oh goddess, not again The woman had a loose robe on and was looking at her with a smoldering expression. "I want to thank you personally for saving me." Rhen quickly backed up but found the door locked. Oh crap "It-it was nothing." The woman smiled. "Please, let me help you." Praying silently to the Goddess, Rhen shot a small bolt of magic at the metal door. "Ah, you don't need to Princess. I'll just be going now." She quickly closed the door right before the woman launched herself at her. Rhen made her way out of the hallway to the guest rooms. Or she would have if it wasn't for floating laughter following her. "Teijal, get down here." The vampire materialized cracking up, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Another one! Isn't that the fifth one to throw themselves at your feet Rhen? Oh dark lords below-" "Teijal..." Rhen growled out. "Human, has anyone told you you're sexy when you're angry?" Rhen felt her face flush but before she could respond a shrill female voice called out to her. "Rhen! Where are you going my love?!" Before the human could bolt away, Teijal dropped a restraining hand on her shoulder smirking. "I got this." Turning to the princess running at them, she narrowed her glowing eyes and growled, baring fangs. "Stop human." The girl stopped, but kept peering over to where Rhen stood behind Teijal. "Who are you?! I'll call the guards on you!" Teijal chuckled coldly, an eyebrow raised. "Oh? And what will they do against a fully enraged vampire hmm? Better yet-" Suddenly she disappeared and appeared behind the girl. "Why don't I feast on you now?" She ignored the trembling girl beneath her as she turned her eyes to Rhen. "You are lucky that my lover is here, or you would be dinner. I bet you'd taste like a succulent pig with a dash of hippogriff. Ah well." Teijal moved back to Rhen's side. "I suggest you turn around and go back to your room. I am a very" She threw her arms around Rhen. "-possessive beast." The girl stuttered away a weak threat and ran back to her room. Teijal kept her glaring facade a while longer before laughing. Rhen shook her head, a smile cracking through. She really hated the dark magic potion gone wrong. What were those demons thinking?! Smother her under half crazed lustful women and men?! Glancing at the smirking vampire, she sighed. Well, at least her vampire wasn't affected. "Though..." Teijal eyes wandered over her body as she licked her lips. Much. ---------- Aww, Rhen's getting hit on XD

"It's like dancing in a garlic field and delicious blood, perfectly aged. My goddess, the taste..." Alli's eyes glazed over while his fangs unconsciously unsheathed.
Vum rolled his eyes and smacked his friend on the head. "And you finished it in one gulp! No fair! Next time someone brings us an elephant garlic its mine!" Alli shook his head to return to the present. "Not even a tiny little bite? I'll make it up to you. How about I get you five large garlics and an onion for a bite?" "I can get that myself. No. The next elephant garlic is mine." "Oh come on. Have a heart." Vum growled before pouncing his friend to the ground. "Why don't I just take yours you selfish, bigheaded- Teijal!" "I most certainly am not Teijal. Tall, pale, female? What are you, blind? I got no boo-" Vum stuffed a garlic in Alli's mouth shutting him up. "Not you, you idiot. She's here. And she's going to tell Uncle Vum some juicy gossip about her." Alli was tempted to swallow the garlic and get a vampire high, but this was too good to pass up. Teijal? Gossip? In the same sentence? When did he disappear into his coffin? ... Oh yeah, the elephant garlic. The exploding part made reorganizing his pieces very hard, especially since a few of his pieces were ...misplaced. He spit out the garlic and pushed Vum off him. Looking around, they waved and called out to Teijal just as she made her way into the town. Teijal raised an eyebrow but walked toward the garlires. What were they up to? Perhaps they got bored and wanted another partner in crime to play pranks on the other vampires, a dangerous but very fun game. Her mouth crooked into a grin as Vum and Alli zoomed to her. Vum cracked a large smile eying the younger vampire before getting to business, "So I heard you are with a human. Come on, tell Uncle Vum. I want details. Now." Alli would have stopped his more blunt partner if his jaw was still attached to his head. Unfortunately, it seemed to have fallen to the floor due to shock. "You. Human. Huh?" Alli's brain also needed a rebooting. Vum ignored his sputtering mate. "Come on, you know we don't hate humans. We just want to know what in night's name happened to our Teijal. I mean it took Naikja several years to get you comfortable with us and even more for you to unleash the crazy side. Now who is this remarkable human and when can we meet her? Preferably before she's old and gray." Alli continued to stutter as his undead brain crashed again. "Wah? Vummy? Help?" Vum rolled his eyes and stuffed a garlic into Alli's mouth, making sure he swallowed it. Alli started to float among the garlic fields. Teijal could hold it in anymore and laughed. "Alright alright, I'll tell you. Though..." She looked at Alli. "Isn't that too many garlics for him?" "Naw, he can handle it. It was a tiny one. Now no distracting me. Details. Now." Teijal smirked, shaking her head. "As much as I would love to, I have to talk to Naikja first. She is...also curious about my mate." "Fine fine. You go do you thing. Than you come right back here lil fang or we're going to kidnap you and have garlic and fluffoo blood ready." The young woman shrugged, a mischief glint in her eyes. "Like you ever got me to talk with those things." Alli laughed nasally. "She got you there. Oh... elephant garlic..." Suddenly, Alli leaped onto Vum. "Gotcha! Now you go boom yes?" Without waiting for a response Alli nuzzled Vum's neck and purred. Teijal decided now was a good time to escape before Vum grilled her for more details. Smiling to herself, she made her way to Naikja's place for a similar if less...forceful interrogation. Well, hopefully anyway. --------- uh yeah. that's why vampires don't like garlic. Apparently, its like a drug that has the potential to make you explode. XD if ya don't recognize them: Alli/Vum are the garlires [garl(ic)+(vamp)ire], or the two hippie like vampires that wanted an elephant garlic. Since I don't think the garlires' names were ever given in the game, I based their names on the scientific name of garlic: Allium sativum

"I tell you, it's true! That vampire and her are together! I saw them" Lars looked left and right before leaning to his companion. "hugging."
Dameon rolled his eyes. "Is that it? I see women hug all the time. Come on sister, you have to have more proof than that!" Lars was about to speak but quickly clamped a hand over the Sun Priest's mouth and pulled him down behind the wall of supplies. He gestured to remain quiet as he pointed out the two in question. "And so, that's the situation." "Hmm... that is a problem." "You've no idea. So, what are your plans for this evening? Griffin tonight?" The vampire smirked, casually throwing an arm over the woman's shoulder. "No, I'm looking for something a bit more...feisty. Care to join me for dinner?" "For or as dinner?" Teijal laughed while she smacked the woman on the rear. "Why don't you come find out?" She narrowed her eyes and pushed the quite willing vampire to the wall before growling, "You'd like that wouldn't you? Me at your mercy." The vampire smirked, enjoying the other woman's body for a moment before reversing their positions. "You are always at my mercy, little pet." Teijal felt up the woman's strong thighs until her hand rested on her hip while the other tweaked a breast. "So, shall we continue this at my place?" "I claim the whip." "Than its the chains for me." "Deal." The vampire smirked, hand touching a dark face and white hair. "Shall we go Elini?" The demon sorcerer laughed and pushed the vampire away from her. "Come on Bloodsucker. I'll enjoy taming you." "Ha, I'll like to see you try that!" Teijal and Elini walked away, not noticing the two men' mouths opened wide. They turned to each other, and looked back at street. Lars cleared his throat and whispered, "You owe me 50 gold." ---- Teijal + Elini = hot *drools* I'll start making siggies, avvies, and more stories about ET. Forget ET phone home, Leather ET with sunglasses = hot hot. *fanboys*

Teijal went slack jawed for a moment. Rhen. Dancing on the tabletops. Singing very off key. Something was seriously wrong with this picture. Picking her jaw up from the floor, she quickly made her way to the human and threw her onto her shoulder. The younger woman immediately protested, her words slurring. Teijal rolled her eyes and glared at the men who backed away from the enraged beast. "Anyone care to explain this before I rip out your throats?"
Feeling the human lump go limb on her shoulder, she shook her head and walked out the door. The vampire would deal with them later. The vampire went up to human's room in the hotel and laid her on the bed. Pondering about human weaknesses, she absentmindedly got a bucket and water. Shaking her head, the red head sat on the edge of the bed wondering what caused her to drink to oblivion. Were they nightmares from her slavery days? Or perhaps seeing the gruesome remains of an attack? Teijal got up to leave when a hand stopped her by holding her wrist loosely. "Don't go." Rhen whispered hoarsely. The vampire paused for a second before shrugging and slipping into the bed, holding the human from behind. "Sleep." Rhen snuggled into the cool body holding her and promptly passed out. Rhen awoke the next day and vomited into the bucket. Goddess she hated hangovers, but at least the alcohol held back the darkness for just a little bit. Memories flashed through her already pounding head making her wince. Sometimes, she truly wondered if her world was worth saving with all the various human murderers and psychopaths lurking the land. Oh sure, it was easy to blame the demons for everything bad but the humans weren't all sweet and good either. Rhen had scars on her back to prove that. Many times she felt like telling the world to go screw themselves and leave her alone. After all, the young woman didn't ask for what look like a suicidal mission against a harbinger of death. If Talia and the other druids wanted the world to be saved, than why the hells didn't they send all their power against him? Why pick her? Rhen's head throbbed even more and she forced herself to stop thinking. She spent long minutes with her head in her hands, trying to get the pain to lessen. She'll need to visit Lars soon, this was getting annoying. The human smiled at the irony. The former slave willingly seeking her former master and enemy for help. Funny how the world works. A cool hand touched her shoulder causing her to stiffen before relaxing. Soft words sluggishly past through her brain. "How are you?" "Like there's thousands of dragons stomping on my head." Teijal smirked, "May I try something?" Rhen frowned as she answered. "Only if you promise not do anything...bad. You don't have anymore soul amulets do you?" The vampire laughed. "Not that I know of. And I promise not to do anything bad." "Fine. Though I like my body in one whole piece mind you." The human settled down as the vampire concentrated. Mindful of her strength, she gently massage certain areas of Rhen's head. After a few minutes, she stopped and asked the younger woman. "Any better?" Rhen grinned and nodded. There was still a slight throb, but nothing compared to before. "Thanks. Where'd you learn that?" "Mmm... you'd be surprised how torture techniques is also good to... end pain. So, care to enlighten me why you were drunk last night? Surely you weren't celebrating me not being there." Rhen rolled her eyes but dropped onto the bed, an arm over her eyes. "Just stress." "Come on blackbird. Talk to me." Now, Rhen could resist and make up another excuse, but she knew Teijal wouldn't drop the subject. The vampire proved to be frustratingly stubborn, hard to trick, and had time on her side. Thinking she rather spill her guts in private here rather than in some lousy camp with everyone else, Rhen gave in. "I just...don't see the point in this mission sometimes. Ahriman is toying with us. The gods turned their back on us by not even drafting more people to help. And the question of whether Aveyond is even worth saving has been bothering me. I've been beaten and enslaved by the world I'm suppose to protect. I was lucky I wasn't also ... raped like some of the other girls on that boat to... to 'test out the goods'. All of it is just so frustrating....Is it worth it?" The last part came out as a whisper. The question haunted her at night when the caged memories drifted through her skull. By day, Rhen was the epitome of confidence and faith in her mission. By night, the doubts and worries taunted her. Teijal stayed silent for a moment before touching Rhen's arm. "You'll need to find the answers to those questions yourself, but I can tell you why I fight. Care to listen?" At the human's nod, the vampire continued. "I frankly don't care about the world. It screwed me up as is. I'm a vampire: we're the very definition of screwed up life. We can't even have kids properly without leeching off some other race. But I fight because I've come to care and love certain people. I would get very pissed if anything happened to them. I don't fight for the world, I fight for you...guys, even stuffy Dame with his robes." Rhen laughed, sitting up. "You're getting mushy in your old age." "And you're being a gold a dozen angsty hero. Stop it, it's not flattering and you're getting early wrinkles." Teijal touched Rhen's face as if to find some wrinkles. The younger woman swatted the vampire's hand away and pounced on Teijal, holding her arms above her head. The redhead made a show of resisting against the human though both knew she could easily break the hold. Eventually she stopped, and smirked at the woman above her. "Hmm.. it seems you have me captive." Rhen returned the smirk with one of her own. "Yes, I can see that." Her face grew contemplative as she muddled over Teijal's words. "Do you really fight for me?" Teijal's expression turned serious as she answered truthfully. "Yep, if you weren't in this pack of oddballs, I'd be back home eating garlic with the hippies. I've come to ...care a great deal about you." The human searched red eyes and found what she was looking for. Sighing, she collapsed on top of the vampire. "Thank you." Teijal shut her eyes as she asked weakly. "For what?" "For just being you, quirks and all." Teijal tentatively wrapped her arms around the human and looked at the ceiling. "Anytime Rhen. Anytime." ---- The muses just wouldn't stop, and I wanted to mess with dark Rhen again. If you haven't noticed, messing with Rhen's slavery past is one of my fav things to do (besides making TR dance in the moonlight lol). And I just dumped some of my cynical views into Rhen. I hope she doesn't kill me for it. o_o;; for the record: I've never gotten drunk (or even drank alcohol) so I'm basing the 'drunk' part on movies/readings/personal stories/etc. ps: this is T/R as just close friends. Any femslashy subtext found in text is all in your head ;P

Really love your oneshots(Or drabbles) despite the fact that I'm not exactly a shojo-ai fan. And for the Selena/Alicia oneshot, I found the part where Devin and Jack fight over who kisses Selena(Although, where Talia? Or did I miss her in there) pretty funny. Then rest had interesting POVs. Never really considered the pairing before to tell you the truth. (Then again, I forget about the names of the minor characters XD)

thx. :3 I'm always surprised (and happy) that my stories attract/appeal to non shoujoai/yuri readers. (And the number of views made me go O_O! a few times. I didn't think I'd get that many views.)
a (very) small fluff piece. everyone's being ooc lovey dovey. Teijal smirked and kissed Rhen's shoulder, feeling sluggishly happy. A sudden thought popped into her head and she laughed, causing her human to raise an eyebrow. "Just a memory. Remember after I trapped Galahad's soul in the soul amulet?" Rhen frowned for a moment before nodding. The human asked curiously while she turned on her side, hand supporting her head, "What about it?" The red head laughed again before replying smugly, "You actually confronted me about that. You, a tiny little human versus the big bad vampire. You either had guts or was suicidal to talk to a vampire alone." The human rolled her eyes. "I believe you're words were 'You, against me? I like you little gutsy human.' And then you kissed me. Why did you do that anyway?" Teijal shrugged. "You looked so delectable, all fired up with righteous fury. I couldn't resist." She leaned down and pecked Rhen on the lips before smirking. "Just like now actually." The vampire's hand began wandering causing Rhen to gasp. "Now, I do believe you're well rested. Round ten?" Rhen growled and pulled the vampire toward her. ------

@aisling: well I wouldn't know. Spying on them is one thing, being a peeping tom is a guaranteed way to the grave.
(And contrary to popular sources, I do have some sense of self preservation)Back then, things were easy. All a vampire had to do was grab some screaming human and drain them. Now? Those humans evolved and got smart. Now it wasn't so simple to get them. No, one had to worry about the tedious politics, the boring revenge, and really it became such a hassle that some vampires just switched to other less predictable prey. Hippogriffs tasted better anyway, especially with dragon mixed in. Unfortunately, those crazy humans forgot everything except the days of human hunting vampires. And the legends! They got wilder with every retelling. Soon vampires only hungered for human blood (oh the arrogance was delicious), hated large bodies of water (some vampires actually like the water so much they just stayed in it), couldn't come into a house unless invited (even the old vampires couldn't figure out where this one came from), slept half the day away (only newborns), and were great demons of evil darkness (vampire. not demon. If they were demons they'd smell like brimstone, silly humans). Teijal cracked a grin, remembering all the legends she exploited while having fun with the humans. Well, at least they got some things right such as their strength (Rhen wasn't a light flower), endurance (sexy fun times), and speed (excellent expressway to home). Well, three out of ... a lot wasn't that bad. Still, Teijal decided she'll shut down her occasionally logical side now that Rhen's rested and awake. Really, why should the poor vampire let her gifts waste away? ----------- I think the lack of sleep is getting to me. I'm getting more ramble-y with each progressive story.

Warning: FULL of angst and I mean angst. There is no happy ending in this one. No silver lining. no humor. Some mature content.
--------------- Rhen screamed as the man kicked her again. She curled her body into the smallest shape she can. The man laughed as he picked up his whip. "Time to break you little slave." His eyes gleamed madly as he stretched the whip. "Will you be obedient slave?" Rhen kept her mouth clamped. She cried out when he began whipping her. He cackled and jeered her, slashing her with every pause. "You. Are. Invisible. Not seen. Not heard. No voice. Mouth shut. Eyes sewed. Paralyzed. Deaf. You are dead to the world little girl! Do you understand? You have no one! You are no one! You are a mere animal, born to a whore. Now! Will you be obedient slave?" Rhen tried to keep the man's voice out of her head telling her things that weren't true. She tried to remember who she was. But the memories were hard to reach with the pain. Burns to the joints. Lashes to her back. Face unrecognizable. Torture battered her soul. Did she have a soul? The woman past out to blissful darkness, only to be awoken with a bucket of water. "Did I say you can sleep slave? No! I didn't! Now, will you obey slave?" Rhen whimpered as the man tugged her hair hard pulling her to his eye level. He shouted at her, spit flying. "Answer the question slave!" He punched her making her head fling back to the side. He lowered his voice while he dropped Rhen who collapsed like a rag doll onto the floor. "Come now slave. You know I'm not a patient master. Just a tiny little word and it'll all end right here." He spit at her. "Worthless trash. I've seen better behavior from a mutt. So, will you obey?" The man picked up the whip. "Well? I'll give you five seconds." Rhen couldn't handle it anymore. Days? Months? Years? How long has it been? "Five" She just wanted it to end. End it all. Fade to black. "Four" The human couldn't move. Pain everywhere. Where was her body? Where was she? Who was she? "Three" She breathed out her answer. "Yes." The man grinned and lowered the whip. "Will you obey your master, dog?" Rhen closed her eyes and surrendered. "Yes." Just end the pain. Just end it. Turn inward. Forget who she was. Forget freedom. End it all. Remember nothing. Be subservient. Be obedient. Be silent. Be deaf. Be blind. Be invisible. Be nothing. --------------- inspired by this lil line that popped into my head: "You. Are. Invisible. Not seen. Not heard. No voice. Mouth shut. Eyes sewed." I really don't like my mental state right now if I'm churning out depressing fics. *goes watch some comedies/ read happy fiction*(damn you physics. damn you to the pits of schoolish hell. why is it required for med school? why??? >_<!!!!!..)
