I'd like to create a cottage but can't find the how-to. When I click on "View Cottage" or other links in the "Help" section, IE gives me the "Cannot display webpage" page. My connection is great as far as I can tell. I can access other areas, just not that one. Help!

Yeah, it's a little tricky to get a cottage started. You need to click View Your Profile and then click the Edit Your Cottage button. After this, the View Your Cottage link will work.
Weird, I know.

I'm not very good at this, I guess. Or my computer doesn't want to behave. I tried your suggestion, but I still get the cannot display Web page message after clicking on "View Your Cottage." Also, my avatar doesn't appear even though I selected one (Rhen 2). Merged posts. ~Mopiece

Up top, click on "View Your Profile" (it's under the Games and News icons), then at the top of the next page click the gray "Edit Cottage" button. Now you are on your cottage editing page and should see a couple text boxes. You can just put in a title for now and then click "Submit". That will create your cottage and then the "View Cottage" link should work.
If not, I'm not sure what could be wrong.

If you go to the Cottage Templates and Goodies Forum and change the pull down menu from "from last 100 days" to "from the beginning", you'll find some topics with helpful codes and tips.
