@iPink: Eh, yeah, it was fun because it was fun A few stuff did throw me off, like how Magneto ran off and be evil before the school was even established. In some versions of X-men that I read Magneto was there helping Xavier teach in the school for quite a long time, but whatever.

@agas: I just like that the movie didn't try to be anything it wasn't: it was a total superhero movie with no attempts to be angsty like Spiderman 3 or even serious (which was cool for the Batman movies). It just was what it was. It's the best movie I've seen this summer.

Anyways, finally got done finishing Gone With the Wind last night (my sister and I had started it a couple months ago, but got so bored by intermission that we stopped until last night). Horrid, awful movie. Who came up with the idea that this is a good movie? Let's see; how about we kill off four or so characters in the last ten minutes of the movie? And then we decide that the male lead doesn't like the female lead anymore? And THEN we decide that, hey, so long as you go back to your farm, everything will be all right? Except that it's more likely that the female lead will be murdered by her angry sisters living there? ARRGH. Scarlett wasn't even likable, and they killed off a little girl! I can't express how much I hate this movie. So I thought that Shark Boy and Lava Girl was probably the worst movie ever made (look it up. It's so horrifically bad that it's almost kinda good.). I was so wrong. >.<

Ditto Gone With the Wind. I was lolwhut, what am I looking at now? People were harping about how this movie is wonderful and classic and beautiful... and I was sitting there thinking that the leading lady is a jerk and I do not like her AT ALL. I lost track of what the story is supposed to be about and I'm thinking that the posters/DVD cover are false advertisement.

@yannes: I think I may be the only one in the world who actually liked that movie. =X It wasn't that good, no, but it was entertaining and I found a lot of the imagery pretty spectacular.

@yannes: I saw it and knew that it wouldn't be that good, so I braced myself. But like iPink said, the scenery was astonishing and I liked the costumes as well. The bending took just too long though.

@iPink (about Cars 2): I think those toilets you mentioned, are just a gag on the toilets in Japan. (Well, I'm not sure about this, since I didn't see the movie, but saw a trailer of Cars 2...)

@slimmm: I saw the movie. I know they were a gag on Japanese toilets. That doesn't make the joke any less sophomoric. Cars 2 is a movie aimed at the lowest common denominator; unlike previous Pixar films, there is very little mature entertainment value. I hate the movie even more because it's the first bad Pixar movie, and it was only made to sell more merchandise. Apparently the reason that the movie has so many problems (and this is only a rumor) is that, since the movie was made in order to sell toys, all of the toys were already finalized by the time all of the necessary cuts and changes would have had to have been made. Pixar couldn't make it good because of all of the merchandise that had already been created. And somehow that bugs me even more. >,<

At least we have Brave to look forward to next year. That one at least looks good.
