When are you going to draw the picture where Lars wears the apron? Opps, my bad. I mean, KikoAyumi, when are you going to draw it?

Yay! I'm back! Thanks everyone, for commenting!
Also thanks for 5000+ views; I'm so happy! Anyway, here's Lars's next update. Nothing really special, I know... ____________________________________________________ Day 36 Today I woke up with appreciation of freedom. Imagine if I told Rhen I could be her slave for a week! Or worse, a month? Rhen endured three months of slavery under me and Mom, and I never knew how hard it was. And she had to clean the whole house, cook, wash clothes, and worst of all, obey my stupid orders! Now I’m thinking, how could I be so mean?! I want to apologize but I still can’t. It’s been weeks already and we’re friends now, but saying sorry should be the least I can do for Rhen. I feel so guilty sometimes. Anyway, on with what happened today. We kept on training in Land’s End, and when we could kill a group of three big birds and an earth elemental, we decided that we should get the druid and move on to the next, who would surely be in a more dangerous place. Well, that's how we liked to think of it, but deep inside, I know (and I bet the others too) know that it’s simply a matter of saving the best for last. It’s like this: we sweat ourselves out by improving our skills, then get the druid and maybe even get a reward, then to the Sun Shrine, where we might also take something from one of the locked doors in the temple basement (it doesn’t sound so good, ‘temple basement’, but what can one call it?). So it will feel like every single wound or difficulty with the monsters in Land’s End is repaid by the reward (I do hope there is a reward). By the time we had collected more than fifty lightning scrolls, we walked to the temple, ready to collect our first druid. It sounds weird, collecting druids. As if they were life-size collectibles you could display in your bedroom. Unfortunately, it was too late. Instead of the brightly clothed druid we expected to see, we met an elaborately detailed statue of a druid; no doubt, it really was Vohu Manah, turned into stone. A daeva had beaten us to him. “Good heavens! Does that mean we are to search for the demon for Vohu Manah’s soul? I was hoping we could get our first druid,” Elini said disappointedly. For one who joined the group in search for another husband, Elini is starting to seem very interested in our quest. But then, ‘disappointed’ was an understatement about Rhen. Poor Rhen. She must have thought she failed in her mission. She nearly broke down; Talia and I had to hug her and try to calm her down. “I…fai…FAILED!...,” Rhen sobbed. In an effort to cheer her up, I told her, “The world’s not going to end, Rhen; cheer up.” “B-but…it *will* end…if it doesn’t, it will be worse than ended!” Rhen continued. She was now slumped on the polished marble floor. Elini was still composed. I got so irritated that she didn’t care about Rhen so I shouted at her, outraged. “ELINI! You have nothing to smile about! At least help Rhen out! Looking at your smug face won’t improve our situation here!” She looked offended. “Northerner, there is still a possibility that the druid may still live. I’m simply relishing the thought of adding a daeva to my summoning collection.” At her words, Rhen, Talia and I looked up at her and simultaneously asked questions. “Really?” “Are you *sniff* sure?” (Haha, Rhen.) “Did I hear correctly?” “Of course. Ahriman must want the druids out of his way, right? And if he takes them, he should have thought of the power of the druids as an aid to his rise. So he orders his minions to take their souls, and along with it, their powers. If we can find the daeva in time, we can take the soul and return it to Vohu Manah. But of course, we should start now.” Without a word, we started exploring Land’s End again. We came upon a pathway blocked by two tree stumps and a dog, which wouldn’t budge out of his place. We tried every single method we could think of to get him to move, to no avail. So I told everyone, we can’t waste time; we’ve got to explore other places. We opened a chest with pomegranate seeds in it, and another one with a bronze rod inside. Too bad my orb staff is much more powerful. Late afternoon, we stumbled into a cave with a bone inside. Of course, I knew the dog would take it. And so we all ran back to the place where the dog was, and I gave him the bone. Afraid I might take it back; the dog took it and ran away as fast as possible. After the pathway, we saw a beautiful garden, and an old lady tending to it. She told us that her garden was magical. I was tempted to ask if she still has all her marbles. Anyway, Rhen asked her about any news; if she has seen anything strange lately. She told us she saw an unknown figure going up Mt. Orion, but she doesn’t think much of it because Vohu Manah protects Land’s End from harm. Rhen was about to tell her about the druid, but I shushed her up before she could do any damage to the old lady’s confidence. She asked if she could plant anything for us; I handed Rhen the pomegranate seeds; I wanted to eat some. Fine food is a rarity in a life of demon-hunting. Rhen did not object; she handed them to the old lady. Rhen must have wanted a bit, too. The old lady; a very kind one, though I did doubt if she was really sane, planted them and shooed us away saying that the plants would not grow if watched. So we scrambled away back to the tavern, where I’m writing this now. Rhen is alright now; her puffy eyes have disappeared about an hour ago. Now we’re laughing about how funny she looked while crying; hardly a laughing matter before, but now it’s funny. Tomorrow we go back to Land’s End, and we’re coming up Mt. Orion. That daeva who took Vohu Manah’s soul better be ready for us. I’m not letting him get away with making Rhen cry.

Interesting evolution in Lars' feelings - I've always wondered how he came to have such a change of heart and being a "slave" is certainly a good way to do it.
Poor Rhen, if this is all it takes to make her cry, she's going to need a bucket by the end of the game.

well, she must get used to it soon. but she won't need a bucket; she can use Lars's cloak to soak up all those tears! i hope he won't mind...

Well, at least Lars got a taste of what Rhen's live was like as a slave even if he did have it easy.
I really hope Rhen gets used to it soon, I would have thought she would be alittle tougher by now give what she's gone through.
